Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: More new videos!

Just a quick update, more new videos have appeared online, all TV-recorded. Battles with Organization members and secret meetings ahoy!

Firstly, the Roxas battle. “The Other Promise” is used here, a very cool track to accompany a highly sombre battle. Also note the use of three Keyblades right at the end! Reaction commands for the win!

Just thought I’d show the Re:CoM credits as well, with a little clip at the end leading into KH2!

NOTE: Here I was going to show Organization battles, but I’ll wait until all have been uploaded and then do an article exclusive to that, so keep watching this space!

Lastly, the full version of the scene we saw the end of the FM+ trailer – it was left in the game! Nomura was originally considering removing this because of the confusion it would provoke, but it has been kept in it’s entirety luckily! Translations for the talk with Vexen, Zexion and the third member have been done, but nothing on the major talk between Xemnas and… the armour?

Vexen: Zexion! Zexion!
Zexion: What’s all the fuss about?
Vexen: Where’s Xemnas?
Zexion: At the usual place.
Vexen: The “Room of Sleep”?
Zexion: If it’s urgent, why don’t you go and see?
Vexen: Stop joking around! I will await his return. I must. This is what happens when we need him and he sleeps. Now, of all times…
Xigbar: I’m not so good in that place either. How about you, mister Zexion?
Zexion: What are you doing, eavesdropping like this? The mission assigned to you and Xaldin was to look for new members. You shouldn’t be able to afford wasting time around here.
Xigbar: I’m doing enough work, already! Found another one just yesterday. I think his new name is “Mar-” something or other. With this the Organization now has 11 members. That’s quite a number. And so just for today I asked Lexaeus to cover for me so I could take a break… in anticipation of tomorrow’s work, that is.
Zexion: Then please rest fully. I have work to do for today so I’ll be going…
Xigbar: So harsh of you. I just want us to have a little fun talk about, say, Xemnas’ secret. How many years ago was it? People with the blade of keys started to appear and fought great battles. When they were gone, a man who had lost his memories appeared. Xemnas… no… Xehanort was taken in by Ansem around that time, was he not?
Zexion: What of it?
Xigbar: The “Room of Sleep”… the underground laboratory where we were studying the darkness within people’s hearts, the place which Ansem ordered us to seal-away… The first thing Xemnas did when he got rid of our wise yet bothersome leader was to release the seal and make that room in the depths of the laboratory. After that he frequently went down there and I could hear him talking with someone. Isn’t that odd? Xemnas is supposed to be in there alone.
Zexion: It seems you really enjoy eavesdropping.
Xigbar: I couldn’t hear what they were actually saying. And so I feel preoccupied. You’re interested too, right?
Zexion: I simply want to concentrate on my assignment. You too should concentrate on your real mission and collect more members. We must hurry with the preperations for our new quarters… 11 Organization members is not enough.
Xigbar: Our new quarters… oh, Castle Oblivion, right? What does Xemnas hope to achieve by using that?
Zexion: We’ve been told that-
Xigbar: There’s a reason, one that hasn’t been told to anyone. With the “Room of Sleep” comes the “Room of Awakening”, the other place. That is what he is seeking; that room, which was not made by Xemnas. Perhaps that is where the other… “friend” is.

(NOTE: Here, the translator (Mors) has designated that the hooded Unknown is Xigbar, yet I am unsure what reveals this…)

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: New info, videos and the like!

Nomura has talked with a few magazines again, revealing some new stuff about the secret ending! Also, have a look at the final version of said video, and the Enigmatic Soldier!!

Firstly though, the Nomura-related info. Talking about the secret movie, he says that only a PART of the video is related to the new ‘series’ as he is calling it. He then reinstates that the next game is NOT Kingdom Hearts 3 (III), and the new series can, in effect, stand alone. Think of them as two different books – KH1, CoM and KH2 are kinda chapters from the first book, and then the new ‘series’ is mad up of chapters from the second ‘book’. They’re still very related, but you don’t necessarily need to have played any of the previous games to understand the new ones.

Oh and YES the new game still has the words ‘KINGDOM’ and ‘HEARTS’ in the title people! It just doesn’t have numbers! So it’ll probably be Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War, or Kingdom Hearts: Memories of Xehanort, that kinda thing. The mount of people who think the name won’t have ‘Kingdom Hearts’ in it is surprisingly large…

As for the new videos, enjoy!

Secret ending with official sounds – very dramatic! Download the high-quality version of this here!

Battle with the Enigmatic Soldier. The player here is at level 65, and yet is still beaten within a few seconds… it will be interesting to see what happens after this battle…

As for translations: “Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!”

Yep, strange goings-on indeed! When the battle is one we will see what else he has to say. From what we can tell, the knight is the one with yellow-eyes from the video, and he is talking to ‘Aqua’ and ‘Ven’, most probably the girl and the Roxas-look-alike. As for the Keyblade Sora is using, it is called Acrossing Two, and it is won after defeating Roxas in The World That Never Was.

Don’t forget to listen to the Roxas battle theme! “The Other Promise”

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ goes live! SECRET MOVIE!

It’s finally here! ‘Fate of Not Known’, the new secret movie, has hit the net in style! This is the best version to be found currently!

Credits are provided at the end of the video – thanks go to KH-Vids, DarkHelmet543 and Ckff7.

Note that this is not the final version – we are still waiting for a version with the actual in-game sounds (like the attacks, clangs, scraping etc.), but this will be more than suitable for the time being!

In other news, Nomura has said that the new characters featured (including the *SPOILERS* Roxas look-alike */SPOILERS*) are featured in the new ‘series’ of KH games. He’s also unable to say currently whether Sora, Riku and Kairi will even feature in the next game, which he once again says IS the next MAIN game (a la KH1 and KH2), but isn’t called KH3.

Stay tuned for more!!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: Two hours to go!

Yes, it’s that time – only two hours until it is officially the 29th of March 2007 in Japan, hence two hours until Final Mix+!

Don’t be fooled though, some press have already gotten ahold of the game… and haven’t revealed much yet. We’ve decided here to wait until tomorrow when the game is officially released, at which time we will then disclose any info officially revealed. Currently all that is being talked about is the Organization rematches, and the cover and the case’s contents – nothing on the new ending, scenes or areas yet.

In the land of music, the KH Complete Soundtrack was released today in Japan – two tracks have surfaced online, both in demo format (ie. not full song), but still good. Sadly, we can’t hold the files here at the moment, so we encourage you to check out KH-Vids to get your music fix.

As stated, everything will be worked out and updated here tomorrow upon the game’s full release. See you then!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: New scans and yesterday’s mix-up

OK, yesterday’s article was a shambled tertiary source – basically KH-Vids reported, and I reported on that… and everything got mixed up along the way!

In the end, the only thing you need to know is that the article was about A YEAR old, and at that time Nomura wasn’t going to be bringing Final Mix+ to English-speakers. So disregard those comments – it could still be coming!!

As for the KH3 name-game, apparently that’s still a go – don’t expect to see the number ’3′ or ‘III’ in the title, and no, it is NOT a SIDEQUEST!!

As for yesterday’s scans, I’ve re-hosted them here:

Sorry for the mix-up, next time we’ll double-check large news such as that!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: The battle begins!

Just when we thought that we’d been treated to more than enough of the secret movie, more has appeared in new magazine scans!

We get a better look here of the balding man here – he is clearly seeing laying some serious hurt onto one of the Chasers (or Enigmatic Soldiers as we’ve been dubbing them). Note also that his ‘slave-boy’ has a Keyblade… things are getting more and more confusing…

Note here that the second picture features the game’s title screen, and the heading reads ‘Nihongo no Ibentsu’, or ‘Japanese Event’. It’s basically talking about how the Theater Mode (seen there on the main title) is exclusive currently to Japan, and also allows you to watch the Japanese versions of the event scenes, as well as the English ones.

On another note, the KH2 Final Mix+ Ultimania is releasing in Japan on May 2 – it is said to include an interview with Nomura regarding the ‘new project’ – in other words, new info regarding the next KH title will be revealed May 2.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: New wave of information!

OK, things have been happening over the past few days but not enough to warrent a whole new post, so I’ve decided to combine it all into one big post!

Firstly, the front and back covers of Final Mix+ have been seen as a whole – nothing really new, but good to know what the package is.

kh2fm_67.jpg kh2fm_68.jpg

Secondly, information on the new ‘Theatre Mode’ is flying around, so let me clarify: Theatre Mode is available for both KH2 FM and Re:CoM – you need to beat both games to unlock it, and this can allow you to watch all the game’s cutscenes. The scenes that were in the old KH2 can also be watched in English and Japanese versions!

And lastly, the complete version of the commercial we showed you the other day… enjoy!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: Brand new character! Knights revealed!

Yes, many new pieces of information today, in one big update! Just when we thought the suspense couldn’t get any more intense, new characters appear!

First and foremost, here is the new Japanese TV commercial for the game, releasing March 29.

Notice anything interesting towards the end of the clip? Let me rewind that and show you again, thanks to Dogenzaka of KH Insider:

kh2fm_60.jpg kh2fm_61.jpg kh2fm_62.jpg

Notice the new characters in the last picture? This secret movie will probably blow fans minds…

Now, as for the new secret boss: in a similar move to the Xemnas battle in KH1′s Final Mix, the hardest boss battle in this game will be… one of the knights (Chasers), most probably the leader…

kh2fm_63.jpg kh2fm_64.jpg

Notice here the huge amount of HP this character has – harder than Sephiroth, apparently! If one takes the time to look, they’ll notice 17 bars!

And last, but not least, a brand new FMV picture – expect this to be on the cover of the manual or a brand new box set…
