Newest Kingdom Hearts: Re:CoM info
Various updates have been made available lately regarding the upcoming PS2 title Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories – you’ll find all the info and links you’ll need in this post!

The site is looking great, and a few wallpapers have been made available to the public, with the promise of a trailer in the near future.
Looking for something more in-depth though? Well, check this preview out here from GameSpot, who go into pretty specific detail on many aspects of the game. There’s also various English images to be found. Personally, I still think the graphical quality is great, and that image of Destiny Islands really proves it!
Anyway, for those of you in North America, look forward to Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories on December 2, 2008, just in time for Christmas. Those of you in PAL territories however will probably not be getting the game at this stage, but keep your eyes peeled in case an announcement is made.

Finally awsome we get to play chain of memories..but im worried they will all be sold out so i better hurry.i cant wait for KH3.
I wish a version of Kh chain of memories that can be played on PAL will come out :( I like saw all the cutscenes on youtube before it came out on ps2 and I really wanted to play it. Since i don’t have a nintendo i couldn’t. Now I hear it s coming out on ps2 but NTSC only :’( it’s a heartbreak
yea i dont have a DS so i cant play 358/2 days and its looking pretty good =( i can only play BBS,And chain of memories. Also what is “PAL”

true black but ive stop going there a long time 2 say something my stuff are old there and cool better the sooner the better so i dont get 2 bored for 3 or 4 days.
PAL is like NTSC i think NTSC is only available in north america and PAL in europe.
it doesnt matter if KHinsider had an article on already or not. Just be greatful golden puts them on here at all.

I dont remember what the exact meanings of it all is and i dont feel like looking it up either…PAL though refers to the european contries i believe…dont quote me though
XD thanks guys, we’re not really making any money from this site any more, so I kinda just drop by whenever I get the time to make sure anyone here who doesn’t check the other KH sites is updated with all the important stuff.
NTSC-U is North America, NTSC-J is Japan, most of East Asia. PAL is the region for Europe, UK, Australia. People who have a PS2 from the UK can’t play games from America or Japan, and vice versa.
One thing I still have no idea about is whether English voice acting is in the game, and who has been brought in to record the voices… if it was Haley Joel Osment etc., we would have heard more about this earlier… so it could be cheaper alternatives :(
There are plenty sound alikes out there to play the characters rather then pay the big bucks for the actors, actually, they shouldnt bring in the ones like Haley and all that cause it is too soon in the story. KH2 already came out, everyones voives matured, now your asking them to redo their voice? Not at all easily said and definitly not done
True…but i usally hate when they change the voices in games,but i want haley joel to be in chain of memories one or at least when kingdom hearts 3 comes out. riku voice didnt change really in kh2.
Hey guys, I forgot, what did that guy at the crossroads mean “at the end of the road is something you need but, to claim it you must lose something dear”. I know that to “lose something dear” means Sora’s memories but, what does Sora need at the end of the road?
idk but i was playing KH1 and a good question is WHAT WAS BEHIND THE DOOR IN DESTINY ISLAND? in the secret place. maybe just the world exit.

i supose that behind the door in destiny island was the road 2 the world heart i dont knowbut it could b and thanks for the answers reza and golden.
and i think that the man in the road mean was his heart cause without memories the heart brakes down turning sora into a dummy wich marluxia could boss around and destroy xemnas with him.so if sora lose his memories he would lose something dear his memories but he would gain a proce but the price was for them not for sora the org. mem. i think i dont fully remember either
No there was a keyhole on it when sora had a flashback of him and riku when they were little in KH1.
well all keyholes that sora closed in kh 1 where 2 close the path 2 the hearts of the worlds right.

I played Ocarina of Time dozens of times back in 1998 when it first came out. Really great :)
As for Birth by Sleep, it won’t be coming out in English for a long time – not until around July/August next year is the current estimate.

It was the door to the heart of the Destiny Islands world which can be traversely accessed by the Heart of All Worlds which was reached by the Dark Corridors or World’s End where you plunge into the world’s depths instead of the actual surface initially.
By reaching the unchained heart of a world one can thereoretically reach Kingdom Hearts which Ansem the Seeker of Darkness(heartless) tried to do.

allways loved zelda. and OOT is the center game for the franchise, and the best one ever released. no game could top its story. at least, one hasnt been made (within the zelda series, not out of games in general)
i was replaying KH2 yesterday. and replayed the ending. we had said a while back that Xemnas’ armor during stages 2 and 4 resembled that of the three newest heros. I made a coupple observations. One, it was silver, not that goldish and brown color that terras was. two he wore a crown and a royalty like cape. three, his armor did have some similarities to terras. Im not sure if he was like a self proclaimed king, but i dont think that was for nothing. seing as we know that Org. 13 pobably was around when terra and aqua and ven were becuase of xigbars line. for those who dont remember, “But maaaan did it pick a dud this time. you dont look like youre half the hero the others were.” so i do think xemnas was around back then, so the armors probably have some connection.
on that same subject, i was revisiting the new cutscens, specifically when xemnas is in the ‘room of sleep’ and he tells aquas armor ‘old friend’ This leads me to belive that posibly Xemnas has some sort of connection with Aqua, and the armor might be a big clue.
theory thus far, (and im still working out some details) ” We saw how roxas could retain memories of sora. and we know that Xemnas has some memories of being Xehanort from when he speaks to ansem the wise. So… i think (and i forget who said it but i tihnk it was reza) that Terra was using some sort of powers of darkness to whoop on MX, then he gets knocked on the head, forgets his name and such, loses his powers, as a result he is weak, hair turns white. He finds Ansem…we all know what happens now…Xemnas now would know aqua because he used to be her friend, and is regaining some memories by sleeping in…well the room of sleep.” so thats what i have so far.

I take initial credit for that theory as I have been posting one damn close that for some time. Even so, glad to see Luna agree with me.
Well the whole thing seems to be pulling together nicely. I expect the new games to really open up the KH Universe in exciting ways at this rate.

As for Big Poes, can’t remember all the locations, but they appear in really specific places. I remember one really clearly which was near Lon Lon Ranch. For most of them to appear, you have to lift a big rock of something, and they’ll usually spring up. There’s ten of them, I think.
I could see that one going through Luna, but there is one point wrong. Xigbar witnessed the knights when he was a disciple to Ansem the wise. So it probably was before then. Otherwise we might get the reason for why Aqua has been kept secret
yeah. ok. messed up on that part. But as of right now, thats my theory for terra. Overall i think the three fighters are going to become something else in some way. eg. terra becomes Xehanort. Venn obviously has something to do with sora, and aqua, i got no idea.
but the thing about ven thats odd is his fighting style, in the demos, it looked like he was using darkness attacks. like sora uses in anti form.
The outcome of the theory doesnt change very much by that fact tough. And Aqaus part really bugs me. Nomura doesnt want to show much of her and I think theres a reason for it. But I cant get to what it might be.
I havent really fully payed attention to the gameplay videos but there might be something in that. Ill see if I can find one of the videos with him in.

sorry for double post but in the bbs trailer how does aqua have the soul eater cuz i thought that malifecent made the soul eater for riku!?…hmmm
two things, first, she doesnt have soul eater. she has way to the dawn, which was rikus keyblade. not even the same weapon.
second, ven and aqua both use keyblades.
I think weapons wise for BBS you use the Chasers mock keyblade weapons. Swords made to resemble the keyblades or perhaps they are prototpe keyblades, Keyblades with no keychains. Thats the general theory so far.
And I was under the impression that Riku gained the SoulEater by traversing the Dark Corridors in KH I, not by taking “gifts” from Maleficent.
And finally Aqua’a fighting style seems to be closest to Sora’s Final Drive Form in terms of attack combos aand fluidity. She floats around and her keyblades are directed to attack independently of her physically. She may guide and direct them but they hover around. Maybe she actually only uses one weapon but the vids I saw weren’t of great quality for me to tell.
One thing we know for certain, Terra Aqua and Ven came in contact with the Kingdom Key, Way to the Dawn and the Dark Kingdom Key fifteen years or so before Sora and co.(King included(Though he may have gained his shortly after))
fifteen? no. it was ten at the most. the pictur with ven and terra on the beach was ten years prior, and what your talking about was when they were fully armored up, which comes later, not before.
as for aqua. she only has one keyblade, and the description of final form is the keyblades true power brought out. so maybe she knows how to unlock its potentioal.
about soul eater. it was never said how he got it. it was to him to make use of his dark powers, it wasnt ever stated if melificent gave it to him or if it was created himself through the darkness.
yes at least ten year cuz sora was 14 when he got the keyblade, also i ment how did aqua have the soul eater in the trailer when there in armor because malifecent gave riku his power and i thought riku created the soul eater himself.

she did not have soul eater tho. that was not the weapon she picks up in the trailer at the end of KH2. its not the weapon riku uses in kingdom hearts one, and COM. its totally differant.
wow…..i never knew they remade it for ps2!!! awesome…..i hope they got rid of the stupid card system!!
ummm… no. they didnt remake the game, they just changed it to the ps2.
i dont really get why everyone hates on the card system. out of combat you build your deck, which impliments a stratagy to the game, but once your in battle, you dont really notice the cards, you just hack away and button mash. it still feels like a Kh game inside battles.
personally, i dont mind the card system.
I don’t either to a point. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that you have to stock 3 of the same magic spell cards to get to the ga level. That was quite irritable.
