First Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days English trailer!
Yep, live from the Nintendo conference, its the first ever Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days trailer in English! Check it out below!
Not much else to say there really – Quinton Flynn returns as Axel, but from what I could tell he wasn’t heard from in the trailer. Jesse McCartney is still Roxas, as many of you know by now!
Reggie Fils-Aime also announced that the game would be releasing in North America on the 29th of September, 2009!

Well we already heard the game was kinda lackluster but to be fair, it’s only for a portable console and we’re all a bunch of KH crack addicts so we’ll probably be wanting more even if KH III itse;f came out. I am hopeful for this new title at the very least.

Hm, at the moment I’d say it would be a 6 or a 7. It’s really, really repetitive, and the story isn’t actually revealing much new. Music is great so far though, and the gameplay is very smooth, as are the graphics, so I’m still kinda undecided.
The fact that *SPOILERS* Xion is not important to the overall KH series is kinda lame though. It means that when we finish the game, we haven’t really gained anything from it in the overall KH universe. It’s just like a little bump on the road, doesn’t help us understand KH2 any more… except for one little thing about Roxas having two Keyblades.
So it seems like there’s really no point to playing it. Why would Nomura put her in there if she’s not so important? He said himself the she is important I thought.

Yeah I mean she could I suppose return somehow later down the line, like she could emerge from Sora’s memories, but overall it seems silly. I mean, she’s inside Roxas and Roxas is inside Sora, basically. Which is unncessarily complicated, I would say.
However, maybe we’ll need to wait until BbS for everything to fit together. We need to know who Ven is and how he relates to Roxas, because Ven is clearly 10-or-so years older than Roxas, so… perhaps it will all make sense then…
NOw what would be awesome although would never happen is if Roxas and Ven crossed paths and totally threw down. That would be an interesting fight.

BUMMED, caught the end of an E3 report on a NEW KH. Got all excited and went to pre-order just to find out it’s a DS exclusive release! WTF not even going to bother. When are we just going to get an official KH3 already!
you guys see the “PSP GO”. They probly will make a BBS bundle with that. i think the normal psp looks fine the GO looks to much like a phone.

Remember the voice Sora hears in KH1? It’s the one that tells Sora, “Don’t be afraid. So much to do. So little time…. The day you will open the door is both far off and very near.” Does anybody know who that could be even though we never hear the voice? It’s something that hasn’t been questioned yet.

I personally think to answer XIII’s question, that the voice came from Sora’s own heart, perhaps resonating with KH itself. Sora kinda already opened the door anyway so that plot material is getting a little stale now.
Unless of course Sora could go about opening up the D.T.D. and D.T.L. at will, that would save them a lot of gas money for the ship.

I’m pretty sure it was Xehanort, however most of the time I generally believe its just the ‘KH Narrator’.
He also speaks to Sora during that ‘training’ dream, and he speaks to Roxas as well in his dream sequence.
yea, any ideas on why they said pinocchio was going to be in 358/2 but wasnt in it? maybe they had to cut it out because of space or budget and maybe time…i think its very much likley that they will have pinocchio in BBS because its 10 years prior to kingdom hearts.
When Sora turns himself into a Heartless to free his friend Kairi’s heart in Kingdom Hearts, his Nobody, Roxas, is created; however, unlike most Nobodies, Roxas lacks memories of his past life as Sora. Soon Roxas is found by Xemnas, the leader of Organization XIII, and recruited as its thirteenth member. Each day he is sent to other worlds, either alone or accompanied by his fellow members, to destroy vast quantities of Heartless, releasing stolen hearts and furthering the Organization’s goal to summon Kingdom Hearts and become complete beings. During his time in the Organization, Roxas is placed under the mentorship of Axel, who he quickly befriends. Shortly after Roxas’s induction, the Organization sees the arrival of a fourteenth member named Xion, who resembles Sora’s friend Kairi. Like Roxas, Xion has no recollection of her past and can also wield the Keyblade, and grows close to him and Axel, forming a friendly trio.
However, events that threaten to split the three friends apart soon begin to occur. As DiZ and Naminé watch over Sora while he sleeps to regain the memories he lost at the end of Chain of Memories, Roxas begins to experience the process for himself, growing increasingly curious about why he can wield the Keyblade and doubtful of the Organization’s motives. Xion, meanwhile, is thrown into disarray over the nature of her existence after an encounter with Riku, and becomes torn between staying with her friends and leaving them to merge with her original self as per Riku’s suggestion. Xion begins frequently escaping from the Organization to find herself, though causing a rift between her and her friends, particularly Axel. Finally, she discovers the truth about herself: she is not a Nobody, but an imperfect replica of Sora created by Xemnas from Sora’s memories, having taken on Kairi’s form due to Sora’s strong memories of her; in addition, Naminé’s attempts to restore Sora’s memories not only affect Roxas, but also Xion to the extent that she physically resembles Sora. Horrified by this revelation, Xion vanishes without a trace. Shortly afterward, Roxas grows frustrated with his unanswered questions and defects from Organization XIII, much to Axel’s dismay.
Roxas encounters a now insane Xion, who attacks and tries to absorb him out of the belief that it will turn her into Sora and make her a true person. After a grueling battle, Roxas defeats Xion, who returns to normal, albeit mortally wounded. Xion tells Roxas not to let Xemnas have his way before dying peacefully in his arms, her essence and degenerating body merging with Roxas. With newfound resolve, Roxas continues his journey to self-discovery, encountering and battling Riku, who has been dispatched to capture him and have him merge with Sora to complete the restoration of his memories. When Riku is nearly defeated, he taps into the growing darkness in his heart, granting him the power necessary to subdue Roxas, but also giving him the appearance of Ansem, who resides in his heart. Roxas is subsequently inserted into a virtual simulation of Twilight Town so that he may eventually merge with Sora, setting the stage for Kingdom Hearts II.

For the record, if anyone does want to know the plot or about Xion, just google kingdom hearts wiki on google. it’ll take you to the wiki and it has all that info. ‘Story Revealed’ just copied and pasted the plot section they have on 358/2. and I know this was touched on last update, unlockable sora and whatnot. on multiplayer, sora, goofy, donald, mickey, and Riku are all playable characters after they are unlocked.
Oh then tell us about that scene Golden! It sounds interesting.

Yeah it made very little sense. I’m sure it would be explained later or something, however I didn’t continue much farther. I got to a day in the late 80s/early 90s, then used a different save file to skip to a later part in the game (to see if the formula changed at all). The save file started at Day 354, and I remember seeing *SPOILERS*
a scene with Xion fighting with Xigbar, and Axel was with her. They were in Wonderland, and we see the scene through Xigbar’s eyes suddenly, and instead of Xion and Axel, he sees Axel and Ven (in his BBS costume).
I haven’t got a clue how its connected, but it was a definite attempt by Square to connect 358 and BBS.
I think that “Story revealed” pretty much covers it. Thanks for spoiling it for those that wanted to find out what happens when they play it. I actually read it on Wikipedia the other day cause I do not think I am going to buy a DS to play the game. I thought the overall story was a good but part of me felt unfilled.
I think I am looking forward to Birth By Sleep more than any of the game because it will contribute more to the overall storyline. I am not sure if this has been addressed or not but why does Ventus look almost like Roxas’ twin? Not to mention I see they share that checker pattern on some of their apparel. I know they are not the same person, but it is possible that something happens to Ventus by the end of the game and part of his heart or essence to transferred to Sora?

What I am thinking is that some of the Organization members may make an appears in BBS as their original selves. After playing through KH2 a few times, it starts to become apparent that not much is known about the majority of the organization members. So maybe some will make an appearance in BBS.
I think that BBS will set out to answer many questions but will also maintain a setup leading to KH3.

maybe Master Xehonort’s(M.X.) apprentice is Xemas at a younger age, and M.X. left to go create the organization or maybe like hunting down some of the best fighter’s and turning them into heartless to obtain there nobody’s and he only got well 12 (minus roxas) and then Terra, Aqua and Ven fought M.X. and his apprentice. M.X. was killed and the apprentice lost all his memories from a, blow to the head…? and was trying to get his memories back and was seeing if namine could do it. continued….
So…he had her test it on some one well sora and you guys know the story from there…but who is Terra, Aqua and Ven’s master….maybe ansem….idk but we really dont have enough info to make theorie’s of our own, but i was bored lol.

you guy’s see that new artical on BBS they are in the middle of recording the voice’s which is the last step and then well some testing and demo’s soo the game should be done by august or late july!! so we should get BBS about mid winter or early spring. well i say this because 358/2 took about or is taking 4 months to get the english version done since 358 is due in september. So BBS should take about the same but it could get pushed back….man this game is taking forever.
I personallly think there’s more to BBS than 358/2 Days. BBS should be more important than 358/2 Days. It’s like what happened with CoM. You didn’t have to play it unless you wanted to know why Sora was put to sleep in the first place. Same thing applies to Roxas’s story. If you’re curious you can play. But I think it’s just better to watch the most imporrtant scenes to understand what happened.
Org has one of the better points lately, 358 has a good back story to help better understand roxas and the organization, maybe not entirely useful to the story, i will still play it though when its released over here..
BBS on the other hand, is the prequel of all prequel games. This is where what we know and love all first started, a must play for anyone

I know its kind of a stupid question cause I never heard anything about it and I doubt it because its you dont play as sora, but yeah I did not know for sure.
I dont have a psp either but with prices somehwat dropping maybe ill splurge, or just borrow someone elses.
And i think thats a question for Golden D.O. hes played 358/2 more than anyone else here. For BBS, i would think so, like i said, its the game where everything started, so i wouldnt be suprised to see some summons popping up

I’d be more surprised if there WEREN’T summons, they’ve been in every KH game I’ve played previously. Although now that I think about it, in CoM Riku doesn’t have summons so I don’t know…
We’ll just have to wait and see. If a KH 3 is made, I would definitely buy it if it were made for the PS3.
I never really used the summons all that much…but it might have some, pegasus be cool since hercules is in it and it’s in the past. The question i want to know is, Can you change your keyblade? but there isnt any keychains on the 3 characters keyblades, so i dont think so..what do you guy’s think?
Also here’s a good theorie but rather long.
Let me start off by addressing some issues, first of all, this depends on a lot of speculation, ifs, and maybes, so bare with me.
There are two kinds of beings created when a heart is corrupted, Heartless and Nobodies. Heartless are basically the corrupt heart, while Nobodies are the shell left behind.
But what are Nobodies, really?
Memories, Nobodies are the memories left behind by the heart. With me so far?
Basic construction of a Nobody is the memory left behind. The reason why they look different from their original occupants is that a Nobody must reconstruct itself based on what the Nobody ‘remembers.’ We’ve seen a score of examples in KH2, where organization members appear to look human, but not quite.
It leads back to the creation of two special Nobodies, Roxas and Namine, from Sora and Kairi. Roxas is Sora’s Nobody. Namine is Kairi’s Nobody. The question here is where did the figures of Roxas and Namine come from? And why does Roxas look so much like Ven?
What do we know about Ven? A ‘chaser’ and keyblade user. Teaming up with two others, Terra and Aqua, they pursuit Master Xehanort and his single apprentice. We have seen screenshots of Ven on the Destiny Islands, and child Sora and Riku. We can identify that the two children must have seen Ven and the others at some point.
What does that mean?
Remember that Nobodies construct themselves on the memory of their former occupants? What happens when that person returns from being a Heartless?
The guessing game begins, so far we’ve established a few facts about Nobodies. They rebuild based on memory. Like trying to draw a picture of yourself without looking in a mirror. We know that memory is stored in the heart, and we know that hearts are connected.
At this point, we must guess that at some point Ven (the Roxas look-a-like) ‘die’s’ or disappears from Sora’s life (depending on his level of participation in said life.)
Ven is gone from this scenario; fast forward to the point where Sora became a Heartless.
Sora returned because of his ‘strong heart,’ lets overestimate his heart for a second. Could his heart actually piece together a person within his ‘sleeping memories?’
When I say sleeping memories, I mean someone he once knew but forgot. It is possible that Sora once knew Ven, at least long enough to know, and then forget about him.
Could perhaps Birth by Sleep mean that Ven had to ‘go away’ and become a sleeping memory in order to be reborn as Roxas, Sora’s Nobody? Let’s review so far…
1. Ven had a relationship with Sora when he was a child
2. Ven went away.
3. Sora became a Heartless then returned to normal
4. Roxas, a Ven look-alike, was born from Sora’s ‘sleeping memories’ of Ven because of his ‘strong heart.’
I don’t know about this theory. Eventhough this is speculation, there’s too much info that hasn’t been revealed yet.

Well, I still think the Dark Soldier is the Xehanort we all learned about in KH2. It’s a hunch I have.
I think I’ve said this before. Xehanort could be the Dark Soldier for one reason. The Master Xehanort (who we’ve never heard about) clearly states something about his apprentice being consumed by darkness. He also states, “correct my mistake!”. I think that the Xehanort we know could be the future Master Xehanort. Does anybody think that makes sense? I’ve been thinking about it lately.
In looking at the at the previous theories, I think I might be able to take a step farther. I have been thinking about the time line from BBS to KH2. There are so many ways to approach the time line.
One thing that has been on my mind is the link between Ven and Roxas. I think that based upon everything that I have seen and read so far, Ven might be an incomplete person. I am leaning towards a clone. In the trailer Ven asks Terra to “erase him.”
I think somewhere along the line, Ven dies and part of him is transferred to Sora.
Terra on the other hand is an interesting case. Why does he look like Xehanort? I have do not really have a good theory on that one. All we know is that in the end Xehanort shows up on Ansem the Wise’s door step with no memories.
I am inclined to agree with Org XIII’s hunch. Come to think about it, it might be possible that Xehanort is a clone using part of Master Xehanort and Terra. This concept has already been touched upon with Xion and the replica Riku.
The only thing I am confused about the timeline is whether Master Xehanort and Ansem the Wise knew each other. I am going to say that this may not be the case since nothing was mentioned in KH2.
Its all hard to tell at this point until the game comes out. It sure is fun coming up with ideeas of what migght happen.

Well, Coded is a puzzle game based on the note left in Jiminy Crickets journal, “Thank Naminé”, King Mickey then digitizes the journal and goes into it to investigate and Sora run’s into bug’s (problem’s with the data) and must fix it, So there is really no main antagonist, It’s just a big puzzle. You bring up good points however based upon past evidence, I doubt that Xemnas is the leftovers of Terra. I do admit there has to be some concrete link between Xehanort and Terra.
When I say past evidence this is what I mean. In the secret video from KH2 +, when you see MX apprentice splitting off of Xehanort, he is wearing the same outfit as he was when he possessed Riku in KH1.
Ricky, you touch upon Aqua. I really cannot say a lot about her. I have the feeling she might be a filler character, similar to Xion. Aqua may play a pivotal role that causes Terra or Ven to do something major. Also, I would not doubt if there is going to be a love thing going on between Aqua and Terra.
From watching that BBS trailer, I have the feeling that Terra maybe going down a dark path. Plus at the end of the secret video, Terra’s eyes glow yellow. This all seems interesting…
Sup yall, been a while, well ricky I actually thinik you’re on to something there with the Xemnas to Roxas:: Terra to Ven convo. I believe pretty firmly that Terra eventuually becomes Xehanort in the end of BBS. Theres alot of fitting evidence pointing towards it.
What I am somewhat wondering is what are the interchagable weapons for the Org XIII in 358/2 Days like. I saw a few and the secret hack weapons besides, but if there are some Ultima weapons I bet they are sick. perhaps there is a good feed somewhere.
There not “hack” weapon’s there unlockable weapon’s for online mode. They each have a easter egg (unlockable/secret) weapons.
Man we need a site update alot of new, news like Nomura’s new interview and The BBS article.
This is to answer Ricky’s questions about Aqua, what we do kno wis that she is a playable character in BBS and she lays down magic like nobodies buisness. She seems to fight with the floating style reserved by the Final Drive Form so she should be interesting to see fleshed out. All I kow is that she will be a major character for sure.

Anyway I have to give creds to all of the theories. If you have the desire, keep on evolving them. But is Im the onyl one who feel that the Terra and Riku is quite similar in style. Both are friends with Sora/Sora related person, both are tempted by a darker power and both of them seems to let the power take iver them to save their friend. Just a little observation, might be nothing.
Also keep in mind BBS seems to be a new serie, so we will most likely get a second one in the future
No, Terra and Riku share the visual style of a more dexteritous approach to fighting, opposed to Sora. Like Auron and Tidus if you understand the reference, one just has more experience than the other, doesn’t make him better but he will have a different approach to combat.
And the fact that they both are susceptable to darkness is I thik a sign of their maturity in their respective parties. They view the darkness as a neccesary evil in order to accomplish their goals.
I think Aqua wont be a big part in the story, she might be like Xion, We though she be a big part to do in the KH series but had a very small role or meaning. Well i dont really know because i dont have Days but im sure she is a person who is the just to be like a filler but maybe not, Nomura has not really gave out alot of info to shed light on her part of the story.
Also they said that Wayne Allwine did his VA lines before he died so that will be his last KH game. He talked for Mickey.
I doubt Aqua will be a minor character in the series. They wouldn’t have bothered referencing Aqua with that “Xemanas vid” if her character didn’t hold any water, no pun intended.

well heres my theorie not exactly as i said it before but its not very cleared
when xemnas and roxas are in the darkness area that sora and riku were in the end of kh2 after defeating xemnas’when xemnas asked “do you remember your true name?”
and roxas asked whats your name in return right he said “my name is of no importance”why could that be to hide the name terra and when roxas is going to say hes true name they hide it could he be intending to say “my true name is ven”

terra and riku do have some things in similarity i have given some thoughts to that here we go on why could terra be xemnas not good theorie haha
when terras eyes go yellow in the secret ending
it means he goes completely into darkness right? so ok he kicks MX and hes aprentice but and closes kingdom hearts from inside and after closing from inside he expirienced some light issue inside and that made hes memories go blind then after that he appeared in another world very hurt with hes haire change no memories and well i supose its radiant garden he ended up

There is a way Ven is Roxas…How? The answer is very simple its 10 years prior, Nomura said Nobodies dont age. Nobodies are made from memories and yourself, like drawing a picture of yourself without looking in the mirror, and those with strong hearts make a human like Nobody, my theorie is that Sora knew Ven but forgot him and when his Nobody came to be it was Ven re created and thus making Roxas, because remember in re:com some memories “Forgoten but not lost”.

yea, i dont think we can make a theorie on Aqua, not enough info that last theorie was a Ven theorie. Terra may be Ansem the darrk but that theorie can not be possible in KH2 FM+ you fight Terra, so i dont see how Terra is Ansem the dark because he mistake’s Sora for Ven alot of people say it could be a time warp like after the battle, well that also is stupid considering Terra’s armour got damaged alot. Also his armour was a diffrent color. but that can be just a little mistake made by square
or just that the armor changes depending on the battlefeild its on

Because Roxas is Sora’s nobody, and in kh 358/2 days they all hangout togather and act like sora, riku, and kiari.
Does anyone know the meaning of the 358/2 Days title?

Teh amount of time Roxas spent in the Org. XIII was 358 days, and it is divided between himself and Xion.
And I would try taking over reportign for you Golden if I had any idea how to go about it.

XD a few questions here, better get to them.
1. I don’t get paid for this site, so… dunno how you guys’d make money. If you’ve got any ideas however I’ll try and look into them.
2. At this point I’ve already pretty much left, just trying to find a replacement reporter. I’ll never permanently leave however, I’ll always drop in once in a while.
3. Not looking for translators, English speakers are what we need. Just a reporter to find news somewhere and then write up an article here with the info and the source.
4. Kingdom Hearts Globe died a long time ago because we couldn’t find a webmaster. Even I wasn’t qualified for that job XD
5. Not really looking for comments moderators, its not something that I ever did here to be honest. We’ve got a system that moderates a lot of the comments already automatically. Thanks for all of your support and offers of help though :D

Youre welcome org. But frankly to be honest if we somehow would have advertising we might have a special column for it. Also we have to make ourselves a name, get in contact with people, pull some strings to gety something. It is quite hard, so if we will have a chance we really need to expand. The customer chooses places where they can reach out and et value for their investment.
I think it’s something worth doing. This site is dead as it is anyway! But then again, there hasn’t been much news about KH lately.To get paid for this site would be pretty hard.

Yes a total relaunch would be a good idea. But are there anyone here that has some knowledge about how to run and as Golden said, some HTML skills. Even if you have soem slightest idea tell us, because if you know the basics its a lot easier to learn. Or at least it sounds the most logical.

First of all, happy Birthday to all of you who recently celebrated Birthdays :)
As for advertising, the site is currently a WordPress-based site, and I don’t think it’s physically possible for us to actually advertise directly from here. Popups may be available, however I’m unsure about that. As for who would advertise, I’d have to get in contact with everyone we have advertising on FFInsider, however I’ve never directly talked to them before, that’s Rey’s side of things.
Regarding Rey himself, I don’t know if he ever visits this place any more, to be honest. I think he basically pays the yearly fee for the domain name then lets it fly, however I don’t know if we’re even charged for the domain name now that I think about it…
Anyway, I’ll make sure I speak directly to him in the next few days. That’s the benefit of having both of us situated in Sydney – its an actual team, seeing as we’re not broken up by time-zones. I’ll put forward your ideas and ask what he thinks we should do with the place.
Oh, and to the person who asked how many visitors we have here, there is a way to check that, Ash was able to. Unfortunately, before he left civilization he didn’t leave me with any of the access codes, so I have to hope Rey has them. If I can get them, we’ll be good to go on the numbers.

And we’re trying to figure out a way to advertise this site and possible make money out of it. Golden is going to talk to Rey about our ideas. Yes, KH news has been very hard to find.

I’ll go ahead and make a new announcement now regarding what we spoke of.
He didn’t seem to think that advertisements were possible, although he said he might look into soon. Main thing we discussed was me moving on and where to go with that.
