Discover the Worlds of Birth By Sleep!

Site Update

I’ve been a little update crazy lately, and I figured there’s no reason to stop. And so, I’ve added a Worlds page to the Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep section! On the Worlds page you can read about the various, well, Worlds that you’ll encounter in Birth By Sleep.

The Characters page is also completely finished, so take a look at that as well and let me know what you think.

Birth By Sleep’s Japanese release date is only a month away, folks!

New Characters Page

Site Update

Hey all.

I’ve been working on the Characters page for Birth By Sleep over the past few days, and finally got some of it up. As of right now I only have Ven, Terra, and Aqua, but eventually I’ll have the whole cast up there for you to read about. Let me know if you notice any problems with the page.

You can check out the page on the navigation bar to the right or just click right here.

I’m also updating all the Kingdom Hearts 3 pages, clearing out the Birth By Sleep info and putting in correct stuff. I should be done sometime before Christmas, so keep an eye out.

Cheers,
Jake Handy, Webmaster

Site Update

Just a heads up, I like to let the community know about website updates.

We will be updating several pages over the next few days, as well as improving the overall organization of the site. First and foremost, we will be adding a Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days section to the navigation bar on the right, and will be writing pages for each of those sections. Then, we will be adding all the images and videos released in the past year or so to their respective pages.

This overhaul is going to take time, so we ask that you be patient. In the mean time, we’ll be providing you with all the latest and greatest Kingdom Hearts news you’ve come to expect from us!

Goodbye, and good luck!

Site Update

November 6, 2006. To the best of my recollection, this was the day that I first appeared here. We’d opened the place about a week, perhaps two beforehand. At the time that crazy cat Ash was still around, and we would speak often about the way things were running, constantly bouncing little ideas off each other regarding ways to improve the site and better its presentation.

Kingdom Hearts is something I don’t hold a particular connection to. I loved the first game, and think that much of Yoko Shimomura’s work in the music department is stunning, but ultimately my adoration of Square died the day the PlayStation 2 was born. Or maybe it was the day they merged with Enix. Either way, I was never 100% committed to the site’s content. If it wasn’t for Ash laying down the generic vision for where we would go and what we would report on, I doubt I would have continued my stint here very long. I was working at three other sites, and two of those entailed some rather large responsibilities – FF Insider was a huge place, and only continues to grow. The other site, which can not be named these days, was officially linked to Nintendo, and led to invitations to full-scale gaming conferences on the other side of the country.

Kingdom Hearts 3.us (known as ‘Kingdom-Hearts-3.net’ at that time, I think) was a blog site. There was no real money in it and we were numbering as few as a hundred readers a day in those early months. Yet, Ash continued to persevere, and through the constant support of Rey we continued to work towards dreams of creating something bigger, a few steps at a time.

We reached a thousand viewers a day, and we celebrated. We were planning a full-scale forum. Then Ash disappeared and left myself and Rey with the keys to castle. Months passed without communication, and it wasn’t until sometime in late 2007, more than six months after his disappearance, that he made contact with us again – he had moved to a rural area without any computer or internet access, and would be gone indefinitely.

To this day, we have barely moved from there. An excellent new design from Nova (Nero? What was his name again…?) was one of the final things that happened before we fell into this pseudo-hibernation. Yet my friendships with all the wonderful users in the comments section, and my respect, admiration and belief in the dreams that I shared with Ash led me to this point today.

So I would like to bid you all a hearty goodbye, a good luck! I’ll still be around every once in a while, and reporting (kind of) regularly at Final Fantasy Insider.

Other than that, I’ll ask you all to give a very warm welcome to our new man of the house, Jake, from our sister site Final Fantasy XIII.us! Jake will be running both sites now side by side – trust me, he’s great and knows exactly what he’s doing!

Talk to you all in the comments sections!

Many thanks for a wonderful three years,

Zelda Web needs you!

Site Update

We here at KH3.us are proud to present to you ZELDA WEB, a new project led by JC – here’s what he had to say:

“This is JC, former Assistant Content Manager of The Hylia and webmaster of PSLOZ.com. I’ve come before you all today to request your varied and talented services for a brand new Zelda project.

Recently, a new website called Zelda Web has begun production and I’ve been hired to be the webmaster for it. Now, Rey wants to extend the FFI network to include what we hope to be the best Zelda site on the web. However, we need your help, fans.

This project is currently in production and Zelda Web is in need of staff. Rey and I are sure that there people who are eager to work on something new and exciting. What Zelda Web is looking for is honest, passionate, hard-working people that are willing to be dedicated to a website. If you want to work with us, we’ll gladly settle something to suit you and your commitments, so you can give Zelda Web your best work. What we are looking for is:

  • 1) Content Staff: What you will basically be doing is adding up content to the site and formatting it, keeping it presentable.
  • 2) Media Staff: Whoever is on the staff will be allocating resources for Zelda Web, including screen shots, videos, artwork, things of that nature.
  • 3) Writers: Basically, the writers will be writing the content for the website alongside me. There are some additional perks to being a writer for Zelda Web, since you will also get your own blog on the website that is yours to do with as you please within human reason. Also, we are accepting writers for editorials and other additional ideas.
  • 4) Forum staff: Currently, nothing major, but if you’re interested in becoming community manager please enquire.
  • 5) News Staff: I want news to be a huge part of Zelda Web. Therefore, I am looking to hire anyone with a passion for news. Putting this on a resume when applying for a news reporting job would be a huge plus.

At Zelda Web, we do have some minimal requirements for applicants. You must be 16 years or older to apply and must have some experience with working on websites. If you’re looking to work with content, you need to have some experience with HTML, image alignment and text formatting. This also goes for someone looking to be in the Media Staff.

For writers, you need to have a good, solid knowledge of the Zelda universe, as you will be writing a lot of facts and possibly editorials.

Now, the application process is simple. Basically, you can instant message me on AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and my screen name is FusionEvolution7. Also, you can e-mail me at vmjc48 (@) gmail (dot) com or JC48tiny (@) msn (dot) com. (And add me on MSN Messenger).

If you decide to e-mail me, please include your name, the position you’re requesting, why you want the position, your prior online work experiences and, if required, some examples of your work.”

  • JC48tiny@msn.com
  • vmjc48@gmail.com
