Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: New information from recent Famitsu!

More translations have been done on the recent Famitsu article in which Nomura revealed the existance of other Kingdom Hearts projects.

The article basically delves into some more points regarding Final Mix+, specifically RE:Chain of Memories. Nothing too big, but most of it was new anyways. Following is a list of new information that was talked about:

  • Basically, RE:CoM is still structured around the same premise as it’s original GBA counter-part – in other words, there are different areas used for different battles, and the floors of the Castle are still made up of rooms that will lead to story events and boss fights. The leveling-up and EXP system are therefore very similar, if not the same.
  • Card stocking returns, expanded so that using significant combos you are able to tie in multiple reaction commands.
  • Organization Mushroom-type Heartless aren’t related to the real Organization XIII in any way – they’re just imposters.
  • Nomura liked the (Japanese) voice acting of the Organization XIII in the original KH2 so much, he wants to try and out-do it in RE:CoM.
  • The knight shown at the end of the Final Mix+ trailer (also from the secret ending of KH2), is not Sora or Roxas – he is related to an already existing character though!
  • The scenes we’ve seen of Zexion with Soul Eater are just him using illusionary powers to immitate it. His real weapon hasn’t been revealed yet!
  • The Final Mix+ release date will be announced soon.
  • Also, I’ve forgotten to mention in recent news Sora’s new Drive Form exclusive to KH2′s Final Mix – basically, it resembles his original KH1/CoM costume, with some slight alterations, yet it is very powerful! More news as we have it.
