Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: Xehanort’s relative
I’m probably looking into things too much here but… I believe we’ve found Xehanort’s brother. Although absolutely everything here is theory, I thought these two images would make good news while we’re waiting for all the big things to happen.
OK, bare with me here.
The picture shown above is Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts II’s flashback scene to Xehanort speaking with Ansem in their lab. Not the hair style, facial features, body, etc. Note also that this seems to be around fifteen or so years before the original KH takes place.
Now look at this knight here (the one fought in Final Mix). Look familiar? Similar face, hair and body size. Also note that his eyes turn gold at the end of the video – similar to Xehanort, Ansem and Xemnas eyes, but not exactly.
So what does all this mean? Basically, I believe this is Xehanort’s brother. In KH2 Final Mix he hates Xehanort more than anything in the world – an epic brotherly rivalry is a strong story point. Note how their hairstyles almost point out their opposites – Xehanort’s pure white compared with his ‘brother’s’ dark brown, almost black hair.
The uncanny resemblance probably means twins, which would mean the flashback we saw in KH2 was from the same time as this secret video. Xehanort’s ‘brother’ might not even look like this when he is fought during Final Mix itself as the optional boss – perhaps he has been contained in this world and can’t escape to find the brother he still seeks revenge upon. He looks almost larger when he is fought as a boss – perhaps if his helmet were removed he would look like Xehanort (‘Ansem’) did in KH1, except with the dark brown hair…?
All of this is just theory at the moment everyone but… these resemblances are too uncanny, even for Nomura. If this falls true then we have a very interesting new core three characters for the next game – Ven, a Roxas look alike; Aqua, powerful and caring of Ven, relations unknown; and Xehanort’s ‘brother’…
Anyways, up next scheduele-wise we have Square-Enix Party in a couple of weeks. Nomura will be making a big announcement there, so be prepared and hope for the best!

I agree with Larry, the boy looked like Sora/Roxas… (the beautiful big blue eyes)
and that the caring female figure looked like she is his mom… because of the same expresion on her face (like Sora’s) and the same BIG BLUE EYES… or she could be his big sister…
but definitly they look like a family fighting together…

that will make sense, because in the other games, Sora is meant to be the keyblade holder or master… and I always wonder why… so here it make perfect sense… he is a heir of that responsability…
and maybe… the “dad” is Xehanort twin brother, that will make Sora his lost nephew…jejeje… that’s the issue a big fat family feud…jejeje what ya think?

Thats a good catch there golden, we all thought that was him, meaning Xehanort, i dont think anyone would have thought that was his brother. Now, i know its only a theory, but think about it, im kind expanding, hope you dont mind.
Anyways, twins are suppose to have a connection, like in the real world known as earth, twins sometimes are said to have a telepathic connection, when one gets hurt, the other feels it, this could mean the same for him. One of the brothers lost their memory somehow, and the other felt the same.
And with that square-enix party, i wish i could go and hear that big announcment, because i can already sense it is humongous news, like final mix in America? i can already here it in my head
with the whole look alike thing i’ve noticed that some aspects of clothing are the same (ie the Organization’s black boots)
And that the girl with the blue hair kinda has the same hair style as kairi in kh

Great theory golden, nice catch too, never woulda guessed it :p. But if they were twins dont you think sometihng in 3 games would have been mentioned or at least hinted upon, it seems odd to me that all of a sudden the main villian from kingdom hearts has a twin. Its kinda random (no offense intended here) jsut seems odd that hes sudenly just kinda here. But you never know, i mean aqua and ven are just “here” too, so i dont know. Good job though, props.
Uhh hey guys we heard Sora’s mom in KH1 right before the storm swept over the islands. That might disprove the Aqua theory being how interplanetary travel isn’t exactly a cakewalk. Even if it was to be done the mothers voice sounded to domesticated to me to be a warrior such as Aqua. An Aunt maybe?(:)

Come to think of it it’s almost exactly the same with FF7. There was no mention of Sephiroth having a brother in FF7 (unless you count Cloud, who was simply a clone), but now we have Crisis Core (the prequel) and Sephiroth’s brother Genesis is a big focus.
He was also shown for about twenty seconds in Dirge of Cerberus, and that was the third major game in the Compilation of FF7 series so… yeah I think Square is really liking this forgotten brother plotline now! :D
FF12 had something similar as well…
Perhaps Aqua and Ven are siblings and the Xehnort brother is the father.

If you look at the fight carefully, the Ven is about to charge but the taller one stops him and he runs and attacks, it looked like a father protecting a son, or a mentor protecting a student.
i was going to bring up that point to, but in a different arguement, he stopped him simply cause he was pissed, and that was his fight
I think I’ll quit tryin to diagnose it cause my heads startin to hurt. I’ll just wait patiently and be content with other games.
What about that Xehonart betrayed his twin (or brother) and in someway destroyed his life and maybe ruined his family or something

Found on a forum on KH insider that sunset horizons could bee seen from sunset hill in twilight town. Also note that the horizons stand in plural. But then i wonder why you go from disney castle to the place where you fight the ES. Ive no answers on that and i still dont know if anything of this is true but it might be helpful in the future (or not). Also found on that forum that the crossroads in the sunset horizons (secret movie) looks like the same as in the one outside the castle oblivion. just change the grass against the keyblades. But it could be longseeking.

I think that there are some good theories here. But I think some are reading to much into the secret movie. I agree that this might turn out to be a sibling rivalry. I tend to focus more on what Kairi’s grandmother said about the conflict from KH1. Combining that with the sibling rivalry approach, we have one brother, Xehnort, an individual who wanted to keep the light from himself and not share. The other brother, trying to stop his brother.
I am confused though, in the video, who is the Mr. Clean guy? Is that suppose to be Xehnort’s original form. On top of that, he had the power to summon Kingdom Hearts.
I would not doubt that this is going to be a prequel. Or a flashback game.
There is something else that is interesting. You all do notice the necklace that Sora wears right? That does seem interesting that the necklace he wears even before receiving the keyblade is a themed symbol throughout both games.
In addition, I would not put it past our KH creator buddies to follow up on the love story between Sora and Kiari. This is also typical of the FF series having the love story element.
Back to the family tree theory. It just occured to me that like the you all were talking about that Sora may have been adopted. He could also hale from Radient Gardens like Kiari. That Roxas look like could be Sora’s brother. It would seem appropriate in that regards.
What do you all think?
All in all i just wanna know the main story line. i mean in the first game in was “seal the key holes, find your friends”. in the second it was find the king, riku,kairi, and defeat the organization.
i wonder what they’ll do next( and how the disney worlds are involved)

That ‘Mr. Clean’ guy is probably the father of Xehanort and his brother. He has the same clothing and the same desire (Kingdom Hearts).
I have a feeling the guy in the Heartless costume is Xehanort himself.
Oh, and when ‘Xehanort’s brother’ pushed Ven back at the beginning of the video before the fight started, I highly doubt he was trying to protect him – the guy (whether or not he’s Xehanort’s brother) talked about how much he hated Xehanort in the optional battle, so he pushed back Ven because he wanted Xehanort/person related to Xehanort all for himself.

alright first off, people need to start combinin their five posts into one post, eagle, its called sunset horizons because, plural, is because that is the four crossroads of the so called dimesnison, light dark…etc, and yes, it is the same place switching grass and keyblades.
Hammers, i dont think sora was from radiant garden at all, he would have had some memory at the very least, unless he left when he was very young, then he wouldnt, then i admit iw as mistkaen. And as far as the mr clean guy you refer to, i dont even think well get the answer in final mix

So I read that interview with Nomura just now and I think I am starting to make sense of everything a little bit. Nomura said that Roxas and Namine are special Nobodies. He went onto say that Xemnas may be a Special Nobody as well. So this means that the Mr. Clean guy in the video is indeed Xehanort himself.
I do take back the comment that Sora was also from Radiant Garden. I read that Nomura talks about how a person of strong heart can wield a keyblade.
I think I would like to know is how exactly Soul Eater became Way To the Dawn keyblade and how Kairi was able to receive hers. Something tells me it has more to do with the key chains themselves more so than the actual keyblade.
Hey everyone i was thinking and i know this is way off topic but i just wanted it out there. You know how to fight the E.S you go throught the portal in disney castle. Well Disney Castle is king mickeys castle, and who was the only charecter that we recognize for sure in the secret ending of Final mix…Mickey. I was thinking maybe theres some connection there, also, involving the message in the bottle that sora gets from mickey more than likley involving the Soldiers, notcie how it was mickey who noticed. IM thinking maybe mickey has a connection with the E.S. Not sure what yet, but a connection none the less.
Nut, thats because japanese to english translations isnt letter for letter.
As for the connection between the solder and mickey, im not really sure…I mean, it is a good thought, but it is just a portal, almost like a secret room. But if you take the thing that the portal is like a secret room, then i guess there can be a connection.
hammers, the two questions you asked about the Keyblades of Kairi and Riku were actually answered recently in the KH novel.
Kairi’s Keyblade came from her memories – it came to her when she thought of how much she wanted things to return to the way they were on Destiny Islands – she thought of peace and the only way to get it was through war, so the Keyblade appeared.
Riku’s Keyblade’s morph was when his heart returned to the light. Soul Eater was a Keyblade of almost pure evil – when Riku began to traverse the path back to light, and then successfully returned after getting rid of his Xehanort disguise, Way to the Dawn was made.
It refers to the path that Riku chose at the end of Chain of Memories.

no one knows, but rumours set it sometime in the fall of this year, golden said there was a square enix party sometime in the next two weeks, and apparantly a big announcement will be made, hopefully its a release date
Yeah, the fall release date is only speculation, no actuall date has been confirmed. Total honesty, there isnt actually a confirmation of Final mix plus coming to america

in my personal opinion, youd have to be pretty stupid not to bring it here, even if 100% of the public doenst want it, theres still a good chunck that does. I mean think about it, if the USA has 5 million people, and 1/5th of them want it, thats still a million people(just random numbers) and if the game sells as 70 dollars a piece, and each person who wants its buys it thats 70 million (i think, im really tiered and my math skills arent up to snuff…teheh :p) thats a hellla a lot of money. i dont get why you wouldent. i don tthink it is a money issue, cause they will definityl make alot, but look back to the original final mix, they didnt bring it to anywhere except for japan cause america, england, and everywhere else it was released, something was added/changed to that game, that is why kh final mix was only released in japan

The original KH Final Mix was very similar to the US version – original KH US version had heaps of extras not in original JP KH (incl Sephiroth), so we didn’t need much of the extra stuff – Xehanort battle and new secret movie were the only real extras.
As for this one… we’ll see :D
do you think golden it would have mattered to the fans anyways? what i think they should do is when they bring kh2 final mix over(PLEASE!!!) is to also include the original final mix and like a collectors edition, that be pretty cool
On the mention of “kingdom hearts” I will assume that everyone is up to date as to the various types of Kingom Hearts. As of right now, Nomura has endeavored to let us know the precise-ness of what Kingdom Hearts is. The biggest question that arised were that, “Why are there 2 types of kingdom hearts and ways to obtain kingdom hearts”
The Kingdom Hearts of World’s Hearts is the Giant Door that leads to the Heart of All Worlds. While the Pale Heart shaped Moon is the Kingdom Hearts forged from the Hearts of Man.
We all noticed it, but I have’t seen anyone talk about it as of yet. But the Kingdom Hearts that Baldy summons forth (seemingly through his keyblade…which makes me go O.O) is the Kingdom Hearts of the Hearts of Man. So, my first logical question was “If this was indeed the Kingdom Hearts derived from the Heart’s of man, how did he call it forth?”
Then I thought about the owners of all the Keyblades.
“Perhaps those hearts we’re sealed within his keyblade itself. Is it possible that he forged a keyblade from the hearts of keyblade wielders?!”
At that point, I had to take a break…
But I just wanted to raise the point that if the “Blue Moon” Kingdom Hearts has any correlation with the Kingdom Hearts that Xemnas “grew” from the hearts captive to the Heartless…then why would he need it, if retrieving a Heart for himself wasn’t part of his goal?

The only thing i can really get behind insignia, is the keyblade theory, that a keyblade contains the past weilders hearts, its highly possibly, specially since riku had one that was made from the captive princesses hearts in the first game
Well i mean (and not to shoot down any theorys insignia) but if the keyblade containted past weilders hearts dont you think there would have been mention if it in 3 games. I mean Xigbar did say that past weilders were duds, but i think he or a anyone also would have said sometihng about it. I think its very “new” and slightly awkward to bring in now. But im not sure, it just seems like if they change the story alot with new ideas, thell lose customer intreset, its bad for marketing in my opinion.
see with that luna, of course they didnt mention it at all in the past games, and why would they? I mean, they didnt tell us that the ansem we fought in the first game was a fake, halfway through the third game, it is an out there thing yes, but not so far out of the realm of possibility.
Ok I am just saying what I think and it might be 100% wrong but I am not sure here it goes. When I looked at it there was a bald guy that looked like Xehanort’s heartless (the big bad guy in KH1 for ppl who don’t know) just older way older XD and he made a copy of him self this copy had a dark armor. There was also a roxas looking guy (if that was not roxas himself.) now I have played kh, khcom and kh two in kh chain of memories a riku replica was made and it does not say it was killed or anything the last you see of it was him attacking zexion because of axle. Ok maybe by fate Xehanort’s heartless was not killed all the way and sent to a wired universe (can’t think of any other place where he would be sent) there get got more powerful and started creeping into the real world once more (because darkness is eternal) he met the riku replica and took his soul and body (hince the double that came out of him) The replica is controlled by him and is one with him so that could explain those two people. Now since roxas went back into sora he went into that battle field where older Xehanort and riku replica is and that is inside sora himself and that is why there are a bunch of keyblades. Because the opening of KH2 basically shows roxas fall out of sorry into a new place that could be the start of this new world and the reason the song states “my hearts a battle ground.†That is just my idea and I can be 100% wrong but I am just saying as for the other two new ones seen with roxas I have no idea who they can be but that brown haired dude does look a lot like Xehanort. Maybe diz (the real ansem) after dieing went to that world being as it is a new world he gets new life and being that death is an everlasting sleep that would show why at the start of the movie it says “birth by sleep†ansem gets a new life and a younger one so that could be a younger ansem in the new world. As for the blue haired girl (could be a guy I am not sure) he/she could just be a new person or riku’s sister who may have been killed and sent to that world why riku never talks about her is because he does not want to remember and have darkness seep back into his heart. That is what I think and once more I could be 100% wrong so please do not get mad at me I am just saying what I think.
and so I do not leave out mikey why he was there would be because he found away into that world and that is why sora an riku and such got that letter at the end of KH2 he was telling them how to get into the new world so that they can stop Xehanort’s heartless once and for all.

if it gets brought to america, it will be in english, no doubt, and the system depends on what game are you talking about, is it final mix or the 3rd game? if its final mix then the ps2 if it does get released into america, and if your talking about kh3, it would mostly likely be for the ps3

The man you presume say is ‘Xehanort’s brother’ has reddish-brown color to his hair, or strawberry-blonde it’s dark in the chip you know. Axel’s hair also has a similar cut! Not to mention how much Sora and Roxas looked so deferent and Kairi and Namine too! Link below is a reference.

Ok, my theories go like this (please don’t kill me if you disagree!)-
-terra is some sort of relation to Xehanort (be it twin, brother, whatever)Because they just look far too similar for them not to be related in any kind of way!
-Terra is some kind of mentor/tutor thing for Ven and Aqua, mainly on the way that throughout the ‘Birth through Sleep’ video he seems to be trying to protect them (he holds Ven back, then proceeds to run around after them and try to protect them)
-Ven and Aqua are an item. I mean, just look at the way they keep looking at each other(the look she gives him when the bald guy is holding him by the head, and when she races over to catch him, and when they gaze into each others eyes once he’s been frozen or whatever)
I also have some more, but they need working on as I’m stil really confused by all the little tidbits they keep throwing us! @_@

Yeah, you probably wont see this shiori, cause certain people leave comments about the oddest or the most common things that everyone has seen and stated already, and never return. But yeah, there are more aprentisses then Xehanort, all the original 6 members of the org, was his aprentisses

th game is clled birth by sleep on psp and two other new titles are kingdom hearts coded on mobile. it about jiminey missing things in his journal so he send a virtual sora and mickey to find it kingdom hearts 358/2 Days as roxas as the main character and his story before kingdom hearts 2

Huh, that’s an interesting theory. I always thought that Terra looked a lot like Saix. You know, with the hair, the eyes and whatnot. I figured the eyes turning to gold at the end of the secret trailer signified the whole berzerker/wolf thing that Saix has. I also think that Aqua looks ridiculously like Kairi from game one with green-blue hair. I have a bit of a weird theory myself, but here goes:
In the Ansem Reports, when they’re talking about Namine, it says that a human (I simply call them ‘Others’) is made up of a heart, soul, and body. Well, we have HEARTless, and NoBODIES, so I assume that there is a third and final being called SOULless (or something along that line). The four parts – Soulles, Nobody, Heartless, and Other – are like four quadrants, or a ring, that contrives one whole. Therefore, I have a theory that Ven is the Soulless of Roxas’ and Sora’s ring, and that Aqua is the Soulless of Kairi’s and Namine’s ring. Terra, I guess is also a Soulless, either or Saix or Xemnas. Truth betold, it would be far more climactic if he DID have affiliation with Xemnas, because Ven and Terra appear to be friends. Guess we’ll wait and see, huh?

Looking at the resemblence between the 2, and the things I have read in interveiws, I think there is reason to believe that this knight IS Xehanort.
However, when I first saw that night I thought he looked a lot like Axel :)

I read that Ven is not the true name, but longer… so I suppose Roxas may be contained in the complete name of Ven, still unknown
Terra, Xehanort’s brother? I don’t think so… What I think is that Mr. Clean Guy/Master Xehanort, is actually related to Ansem the Wise’s apprentice Xehanort/Xemnas. It could be a Senior/Junior thing, the passing on of names and ambitions! I mean, both wanted control of Kingdom Hearts, at least from what I’ve seen… Master Xehanort controlled that “blue moon” Kingdom Hearts, while Xemnas wanted control of the Kingdom Hearts of Man.
Furthermore, I’d like to think that Terra is not related to Sora either, but more so just saw potential in him when he witnessed young Sora and Riku sword fighting on the beaches of the Destiny Islands… Or perhaps saw his companion(s) Ven (and/or Aqua?) in him?
Now, why Ven looks almost EXACTLY like Roxas? Well, let’s remember for a minute – Roxas is merely the Nobody of Sora. A Nobody is the soul and body of someone who’s heart has been consumed.
In the “birth by sleep” footage I’ve seen, Terra asks Master Xehanort “What have you done to his heart?!” Him referring to Ven’s heart. WHICH MEEEEEANS, all Ven had become is a body and soul, aka, A NOBODY! Yaaaay. But then that means that Ven must’ve given into the darkness, which, in that same footage, Master Xehanort states “Those who submit to darkess are not qualified to wield the keyblade.” Later on in the footage, Ven asks Terra to “erase” him, which I believe foretold Terra had banished him to one of the four in-between realms of light and darkness where Nobodies reside.
What I believe is that Sora, like Kairi, had no darkness in his heart, meaning he could not conjure up a Heartless. “But he DID become a Heartless” you would say. True, but what if there was another heart in Sora? I mean, he had room for Kairi’s heart, there’s a chance there could be room for Ven’s heart, too! xD So it could have been Ven’s heart that had caused Sora to change into a Heartless, and the soul and body of Ven is Sora’s Nobody, Roxas. Furthermore, relating to what I said before, Master Xehanort believes one who gives into the darkness is not worthy to wield the keyblade, and, which my theory, Sora hasn’t, which is why he can wield it, but Ven has, which is why Sora had become a Heartless when… he did in KH.
And so, perhaps Ven’s soul and body had become the Nobody, Roxas, of Sora. Not only did Roxas have no recollection of Sora’s memories (“because he spent so little time as a Heartless” they say), but you gotta admit Roxas and Ven’s looks are most likely one and the same!
How Ven got into Sora’s heart, I dunno. *shrugs* Also, if Ven was not found worthy to wield keyblades, how could Roxas? Well, he IS the Nobody of Sora, and the Oathkeeper and Oblivion were created from the memories of Riku and Kairi…

terra defeated master xehanort and then collapsed, he was found by ansem and he forgot everything except xehanorts name. from that he must have thought his name was xehanort then he turned evil and split into ansem(heartless) and xemnas(nobody). in the battle with master xehanort aqua dyed and he put her armour in the room of sleep, thats why xemnas calls them friend when he is in the room of sleep. as for ven mayby he is soras older brother(mayby)

ok ur on the right track but hes not xehanorts brother….HE IS XEHANORT trust me. ok at the end of the battle terras eyes glow yellow witch means hes giving into darkness. it was the only way to defeat xehanort, and after the battle ansem the wise found terra in the same battlefeaild (look in the ansem reports it says he does)and when he found terra he lost all his memories except for the name xehanort wich ansem the wise nammed him that(look in the ansem reports it says that too).
as for ven terra went to master xheanort to ask him to put ventasises heart inside of rikus wich then xehanort did not and put it inside soras thats y soras nobody looks like ventis

Xion is the Organization’s 14th member. It is unknown as to why she was kept a secret for so long. If you were to take the X from her name you’d be left with Ion. In an ancient Greek play by Euripides, follows Ion, an orphan, in the discovery of his origins. In a somewhat manner, Xion tries to do so, too. But I hardly think that the creator would go to such lengths as to make such a resemblance.

Exactly what I believe. My question is who was “baldinort” (master Xehanort)’s apprentice? and as for the Aqua-riku connection, Aqua means water, kairi means ocean/sea. that and if you give aqua black hair, she looks like xion. Xion’s name means “No I” since she isnt a real nobody, and has no person.
I think master xehanort takes over terra’s body, and that’s how terra get’s the whit hair look, I dunno about the brother theory
The guy with gold eyes is Terra, a protagonist in the new game Birth By Sleep, due to come out in America this fall. He resembles Xehanort because ‘MR. CLEAN’ is Master Xehanort, one of three remaining Keyblade masters. The other tow are Yen Sid and Eraqus. Late in the game, Master Xehanort fuses his heart with Terra’s fusing their bodies. This gives Terra white hair and yellow eyes, while his body form stay the same. The Roxas look-alike is Ventus, Terra’s best friend. He resembles Roxas, because his heart is in synch with Sora’s and Roxas’s twilight town clothes are a replica of Ventus’s armor. Aqua is also their friend, but nobody’s relative. the man in the mask is Vanitas, Ventus’s dark side, whom Master Xehanort separated from him in order to created the ‘X-Blade’ pronounced ‘chi-blade’. this keyblade is in an x-shape and has the power to open Kingdom Hearts, which is why all the keyblades are in that field. A war was fought to obtain the X-Blade, and only three people survived it. There, I’ve spoiled it for everyone.

no way. youve got it all wrong. Xehanort tries to make terra give into the darkness so he can use terras body which he does to a point but inside him terra is still resisting and the flashback pic is of terra with xehanort controling his body!
