Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days official Japanese release
That’s right, an official Japanese street date has been revealed; the wait is almost over now for those of you waiting for major amounts of footage!
Square have announced that the game will officially launch on the 30th of May, 2009 in Japan for 5980 yen. A Limited Edition bundle will also be available for 24880 yen – the DSi pictured below will be included in the bundle!

Cant wait for it in general, but i gotta a question, i tried the other day and had no luck. Anyone know how to get the online part of the ds working? i cant seem to figure it out
i think it depends on for what game.
im assuming you have wifi.
but in some games, on either the start menu or on the DS start menu, you have to configure the wifi channel you want to use.
an example, pokemon diamond (dont judge)
you have to go into the menu on the game, and tell it that you want to connect to a certain wifi channel. then it works.
if you cant seem to find any sort of wifi menu on the game or the DS, then try this website

Does a DS have infrastucture or just Ad-Hoc?
Well i havent really tried recently, i dont play my ds all that often, and i wont judge, the last game i played on that thing was actually pokemon leaf green..but i tried to connect to a roomd playing sonic, but the little signal bar in the corner wasnt lighting up at all, frankly the only game i want it to work for it would be for 358/2, just to try it out
do you have a Wifi access point at your house? mine only works with the one at my house.

you got to look for signal that should indicate that you have wifi internet or internet of some kind
for if your in burger king then its no problem cause it should appeare quickly

I dunno, the only reason i tried when i did was when i got my own interenet installed in my apartment, so i figured that would work, but didnt pick it up, wasnt sure if i was doing something wrong or not. Or didnt know if i had to set it up in game or through the ds menu, but didnt really find much through the ds menu, though i could be jsut missing it
You have to set up a different connection for every wi-fi you want to connect to. You’ve got internet in your apartment now, so you’ve gotta turn on whatever game it is, go to wi-fi settings, connections, then add a new one.
but wont he have to get wifi router of some sort thats seperate from his internet. i know before i got to play i had to buy a seperate wifi router becuase my internet wasnt premade with it. i dont think just becuase you have your own internet means you have wifi. thats seperate.

Yeah first you need a wi-fi capable router. If you have one of those you can then edit the settings in the DS to receive that.
If you don’t have a wi-fi router then obviously you can’t access any kind of wi-fi.
Yeah, by the way, you can only edit your DS Wi-Fi settings in a game. Ricky, I disagree that there is not going to be a Kingdom Hearts 3. If you notice, at the beginning
of each Kingdom Hearts game (except for Kingdom Hearts 2) The King always writes a letter and when that happens, a quest always starts. If Tetsuya Nomura wasn’t going to make a Kingdom Hearts 3 then why build suspense for a sequel at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2? Do any of you guys understand me?

Phoenix, if you want to get technical, the ending of each game built suspense for the next one. At the end of KH2, it showed a scene from BBS, so if anything your “suspense builder” theory, just disproved what you were trying to say

i got a router but i guess its not wifi..al the good ones though are like 100+ dollars for a decent wifi router..i dont think so…ill just walk around till i find a wifi connection..
My cable company gave me one for free cause we got the all in one thing.
i have a Linksys wifi router. it was about 89 dollars at best buy when i bought it last year. It works great, no lag, the only issue, is that sometimes when i download things with my PS3 it crashes my internet and i have to reboot. not sure why either. still, im happy with its results.

as for the letter, chances are, its nothing good, more like warning of an impending doom, and that The king needs assisstance. the way i think of it is is like recrouting.
and there will most definetly be a KH3, its where everything will come full circle, and more than likely end. look at the K and the S in kingdom hearts, how the extension of each letter almost touches but not yet. im almost positive theres still another game based on that fact alone.

Nice find Luna. never really thought about that. But even if Nomura never said it out directly, many things point at a third game. For example he said he wanted to rest Sora before he announced the three new games. He has a lot of ideas for KH3 that hes been discussing with his team and he started the serie with the end in his mind.

as for PSN im rarely ever on becuase it crashes my internet for some reason, so i just leave it alone.
as for Kh3. i was thinking today about some things i would like in it.
two things really stuck out to me.
In kh1, there was this epic struggle against sword masters, Sora and Dark riku, but in KH2 they took that out. Id like to see that return in some fashion. it doesnt have to be against two keyblade weilders, but just some climatic sword fight. And something i think would really just make that a fight to remeber, was if they somehow removed magic from the battle, and made it just a sword fight. in kh1, riku could be defeated with the held of wind. i think there needs to be a large scale sword fight, in which reaction commands were used to update the sort of scenes of the gameplay. or, if it wasnt an actual fight, some sort of cutscene of flashback that showed an epic sword fight. Like crisis core, the flashback that shows Angeal sephiroth and genisis battleing, that is a fantastic scene.
the second thing i would like to see, is another battle of a 1000 heartless, but on a more grand scale. Where everyone comes together to battle, i dont know, hundreds of thousands of heartless. i think if you combined the BO1000H (battle of a 1000 heartless) with the fights (before or after i cant remember) where you teamed up with tifa, yuffie, cloud, leon, but also threw in donald, goofy, the king, riku, kairi, etc, and made that a large plot point in the middle of the game, that would just make for a fantastic element to add into an already Hack and Slash RPG. at least, those are two things i wish would be thrown in.
you know im really starting to drift away from the kh games.. :(

And the sword fights has been teh best ones for me. I also hope they will put that a bit more in teh next game(s). But there are many others that also want it to be more duelling and all that, so the chances could be good for an input

Thats a great idea luna, a large scale figt would bring much excitment to the table, but that takes soo muhc out of the developers to where if ou would have that, the game might lag. IF you noitced in the 1000 heartless battle, out of all the heartless, a small group was placed in the “foreground” and the rest seemed to be apart of the background. That was probably cause the game couldnt process all that information at one time.
Though, now that we got 360 and ps3 technology, they could do how they did in the last remnant, a game that they based around large scale fights.
As far as an epic sword fight goes, i would rather it be a cut scene, fighting is all well and good, but some of the moves these characters do in those scenes just astonish me

yeah. the more i think about a grand sword fight. the more i would rather have it be a cutscene. like in crisis core. for the same reason reza says mostly, because 1)they can make it pretty, and 2) the graphics would be better
yea i agree with luna like in kh2 there was a little to much magic like sora vs riku in hollow bastion was classic. and i hope they put Timless River in kh3 or BBS or 358/2 i loved that bored was so cool. but the musical thing in atlantica was just pointless.
it wasnt bad, it was supposed to be like 100acre wood, just a break. something you didnt have to do but could to get away from the story.
as for magic, i wasnt talking about Kh2, reflect is my favorite spell. i was talking about Kh1, where you could use magic in order to protect and heal yourself, rather than it being just a straight sword fight to the death. which id prefer.
as for a large scale battle, it wouldnt matter if they were all around at once. to me, the way the battle of 1000 heartless was done flowed really well, the only thing i would remove is te power of the reaction command, and make it straight fighting.
Magic makes a huge diff in the games. ;)
ive ran through the game before using absolutely no magic. not even cure. it was interesting. magic is a big part of the game, something thats hard to avoid using.
In 2, yeah i would agree, at least the cure spell helped alot unless you were big on wasting items throughout the game.
Anyways with work and school in the way, im almost done with soras story on recom, and i have found some of the most intense sleights ever..First would mega flare, using mushu and 2 fire cards, oh my god. It is utter destruction, i can use it as soon as it starts, and for the basic heartless, it kills the one on the screen, and the ones that also spawns the next wave.
Magic is almost a to big of a part. There is always magic in games. KH would be neat with its own system of magical attacks.
What’s your prediction on BBS release date i hope in december-feb or sooner.
Hard to say..they are not going to want to release 358/2 days and BBS so close together, just wouldnt make sense. Maybe the decemeber feb release date would be on the early side for a japan release perhaps..and around april next year for a us release
That would make sense for right now Reza. Took my first SAT yesterday morning. So damn exhausting! At least that’s done. News about KH has obviously died down considerably. This just bites.
i think theyll wait till summer of next year to release BBS. if we get 358 around august, september, than BBS in japan will more than likely come out after the first of the year, which means around 3-4 months for us. and if that was the case, it makes more sense to release it around summertime, rather than the middle of spring, but anythings possible, they may want to just push the game out quickly and move on, in which case its not to far to think we may get it around april/may of next year.
BBS couldnt be that far behind, right?

i took it last year for the first time, and then retook it about two months ago, my best score was 1950/2400. not bad i think.
as for magic, cure and reflect. altough im extremely heavy on reflect. in Kh1, all i used was wind and cure. and in Com i used blizzard and cure. thats about it. never used magic for just offense, only defense.

Dont remember kh1, though im sure i didnt use much more than cure, in com, the gba version, not sure, same with Re:CoM, rarely use the magic except cure and maybe thunder on occassion. Fira when i those flying heartless are annoying, specially since fire is like a homing spell.
Finally, kh2, i still remember, magnega, the best in my opinion, it would bring all the heartless right to you, then just wack away

I beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts II and I think he was easier in Kingdom Hearts II. In Kingdom Hearts I, I never beat him because I never unlocked the Ultima Weapon although, I have a friend that beat him in KH1 with oathkeeper for the first time and at the time, he didn’t even have Ultima Weapon. By the way, Reza-Kaze, I know that my last post didn’t lead to such an interesting article but, I just wanted to let you guys know about the article. Sorry if I got your hopes up and made you think it was something good.

Phantom was a little bit of a challange.
Sephiroth was in KH1? I beat him in KH2. He was a little challenge there. I few times I got really close and he used a crazy attack and wipped me off the charts DX
that happened to me in KH2. he would just keep knocking me into the air and my little circle recovery wasnt doing the job. i beat him for the first time around 70 i think.
in kh1 he was much harder. at least for me. i have loads of troubble with him in 1.
as for phantom, he was easily the hardest of the optonial bosses, again, for me.
i found out a glitch that you could return to your old cloths from kh1 to kh2 ITS SICK!! ALSO you get all the keyblades from kh1 to kh2 it also works the other way around.
well i found sephirot harder in kh1 cause i beat him only in lv 100 with oblivion never got the ultima in kh1
and kh2 i beat him in lv 71 first time the last time i defeated him was in proud mode in lv 61 with kingdom key cause i already had the trick and it was completely easy but kh1 waqs more of a challenge since sora wasnt so fast in kh2 he wass faster and had better abilities except for some.
He was much more difficult in KH1 expecially if you put aero on :P
i got ultima weapon in both games in KH2 i put Final form+Fenrir+ultima weapon=ownage
also i had all my forms up to max and you get diffrent powers glide,ariel jump,high jump lvl 3 and that slide move
yep i also made everything go up to max lv in kh2 and in kh1 but never got the ultima in kh1 in kh2 yes and also the fenrir

accept you cant drive when you fight him in Kh2 because youre alone. unless it was hacked in which case its not a real victory.

yea but you can still use all the abilities which glide comes in handy.
actually, i found glide to be the worst ability to use in that battle, if you try to get away while gliding, and he catches you and attacks, you cant recover and drop to the ground quick enough before he lands his next attack, specially if he does his super slash attack. Which can only be blocked by using the reaction command or jumping high enough in that little window so he can miss
Well, I think I died from Sephiroth about a billion times, the best thing for me with him was to simple just roll and I beat him with the holowheen town keyblade. ;)
well sephirot killed me lie a thousand times in kh1 in kh2 like 15 and when i started when i was really good maeby 3 times but he is a good oponent
i didnt use glide very often either. mostly i used the dodge jump, like the one you get from master form. it was usefull to get away from that large fire atack, or get high enough in the air to avoid his super slash reaction attack.

Phantom was hard until I figured out his pattern. I never fought Sephiroth is KH1, but he was pretty hard in kh2. I think I finally beat him at level 60 something.
it be cool if they made a kh with mickey the main character and you see when he first got his keyblade and what he was doing during kh1and 2.
you are supposidly going to see that in BBS. as it will show Mickey when he is in training. with the star seeker, before the events of Kh1. but as the main character, we wont ever see that. unless there is a direct spin off just for him. but there wont be a KH game with mickey as the lead, it just wouldnt make sense. hes a proper support character, not main.

That would be cool but as Luna already stated, it would never happen. He’s too fidgety for me anyway. While his moves are cool, he doesn’t have a large range of attacks unlike Donald and Goofy.
thats part of what makes him a support character. had he been developed to be the main character, he would function alot like sora. however, since he was first introduced as he was, he will never go on to be a main character, unless, like i said, there is a direct spin off.
2 nice valid points, with what i saw from his fighting style in kh2 when sora died and mickey came to help, he had very short range, not all that powerful, plus he looked too dang small
yeah. the only thing that mickey would have going for him would be speed, and a volley of attacks, similar to final form. i mean, a two and a half foot tall mouse isnt exactly packin strength. if he were developed further, speed would be the focus. in kh2, i think they purposly made him weaker, so that players didnt die with sora just to play and win fights with mickey. they wanted to you basically have to revive sora in order to continue/win the fight.
yea, i know they wont just saying “IF THEY DID” but i think mickey has a bad ass keyblade.
mickey really is quick and what luna says is very correct the way they made him look in the game doesnt make him look a way to be the main character unless a spin was made
well he still is a good fighter i like the way he fights
for me it was a hard transition from playing with sora to playing with mickey. their fighting styles were so differant, soras was very fluid, where as mickey seemed choppy, and broken. it was hard to get uesd to him since we didnt fight with him that often.
Nah..his keyblade isnt cool at all, all it is is the kingdom key with inverse color scheme
My favorite keyblade is the ultima weapon even though fenrir is stronger i like to use ultima.
Did you guys know if you complete every bonus mission in the journal after you beat the game, you can play as Mickey.

358 because of the wider variety of characters. youll get alot of differant people playing with many differant characters, it will make for a more divers and unique expirience each time.

anway, has anyone heard news of a FFVII remake for the ps3? theres a trailer, well sort off, at the end of crisis core at at the end it says that the story continues in ff 7. so i looked it up, and theres alot of rumors about a remake on the PS3 to follow crisis cores beauty. im not a big FF follower so i dont follow the news much.

No same as you luna dont follow FF games and i hope the new KH games have ico along with co-op.
but BBS probly wont have ico because tie characters are split up. also ICO means inside co-op which is like if i got stuck and could not beat some one i could invite Luna and he would be watever character and i be a character so basicly its like i can invite people to play story mode with me.

Well luna, a while back around when the ps3 first came out, actually, shortly before it came out, they redid the opening scene of FF7 in “ps3 mode”. Basically to show its graphically standards to the world, they used FF7 cause alot of gamers you care about the ps3, most likely played FF7. And since at the time, ff7 was was the most advanced at its time, it was mainly used to show the steps sony took.
Now as far as rumors to facts go about a redid version, there are more rumours then anything. Although, that is not to say i didnt hear that somewhere, it was jsut a long time ago cant remembr where i heard some decent facts
Ok. I had heard that there was a version made to show the capabilities of the ps3 but I wasnt sure If the one after crisis core was that one. Id like to see a ff7 made for the ps3 I think the classic story couppled with the amazing grapics would make a fantastic game. Its not like it wouldtn sell with such a huge following. I’m sure in time they will make one when square isn’t so busy.
