Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (DS)
What we were calling ‘Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories II’ last night has been officially revealed as Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days! Strange title aside, this DS-exclusive will be releasing before the new PSP game, which we’ll touch on later.
OK, I’ll try to summarise this as best as possible so that you can all make sense of it. 358/2 Days will indeed focus on Roxas – this is his story with Axel, beginning around the time Roxas joins the Organization. Gameplay will centre around the Organization and the missions they undertake, gathering souls of defeated Heartless. At the end of the missions, cutscenes with Roxas and Axel contemplating recent events and their own lives on top of the Twilight Town clock tower will be shown.
The trailer begins at a similar time, showing us scenes with Roxas joining the Organization (see: yesterday’s picture) and some shots of him with Saix. Mickey then briefly mentions Axel, and gameplay is then shown. The game is said to appear as a multiplayer affair, with a party of Organization members fighting together and being able to be switched amongst each other. Roxas, Axel, Xigbar and Saix were confirmed as playable characters, and a multiplayer mode with your friends was also mentioned. The trailer ends with a major spoiler – a fourteenth member has joined the Organization, and its a female… who could this be!? Organiaztion XIV!
Also note that the game’s title, “358/2 Days”, refers to a comment made in the trailer: Roxas mentions “I will live upon this world for 151 days.” This doesn’t entirely make sense, seeing as 358/2 is actually 179, so we presume therefore that this means that Roxas will live for 151 days while Sora will sleep for the remaining days that make up 358. We’ll update this when we understand better. Oh, and for the record, reports suggest that the title is pronounced as ‘Three-Five-Eight-Days-Over-Two’.
Tetsuya Nomura will also be directing the game, and just like with FF13, V13 and the other newly announced KH titles, we’re still unaware as to whether master-writer Kazushige Nojima is actually back to script the title. Fingers crossed!

it just occured to me that when i was reading on the new kingdom hearts game that has roxas as one of the main characters. they say the organization has just gotten a new member and that it is a girl. and when xemnas says its been a while old friend on kh2fm he could be talking about aqua. and the organization talks about is it the one with the keyblade and there not talking about roxas which means they have to be talking about aqua. i think aqua is the organizations 14 member.

Yes. All three ‘lead to an approaching time’ according to the end of the trailer. So in other words, they’re all linking to KH3 (or whatever the PS3 one will be called).

Once again everyone, also note that I have change the pronunciation of the title – I didn’t read the katakana too well last night, but I’ve now realised it’s actually said ‘Three Five Eight Days Over Two’.
Lastly, I’ve changed the logo that’s uploaded – the previous one had the ‘K’ and the ‘S’ cropped for some reason on the official Square PDF, but a few pages down I managed to find an uncropped one which I have now cut out and am using.
This title inparticular i find the most wanting to play, roxas’s story. Cant wait to play terras part as well, but this story is one that i am going giddy over, lol
I think Mickey’s story is going to be an intriguing one as well. Now we’ll be able to find out what Mickey was doing in the Realm of Darkness.

Birth by sleep: i wanna play this one, because one: the knights look Bada$$, two, its a more classic style gameplay, three its got better graphics, and four, it reveals the story of what weve been speculating on for like a year now.
there both gonna be spactucalar, besides the fact that its gonne be on handhelds, there still gonna be sweet
now i can take a decent kingdom hearts game wherever i go, which is good. becuase ive wanted that for a while.
I think both will probably be awesome, don’t want to pick a fav. because I will probably jinx its success…I’m looking forward to playing both.

The new member of the organisation will probably be aqua since in the video of KH2 FM
we see a member of the organisation talking in the underground of radient garden with aqua’s armor. He calls her his old friend.
Sora is not human, Xigbar says to sora that he looked at him just like sora does. (The “him” is unknown) And in jimini’s book under the details of Xigbar, Its says xigbar is sure that sora is the half of someone else.

Also the name of the bald man was revealed. Its Master xehanort. In a scene with terra. Terra calls the bald man like this.
Well the thing about that Sora is not human youre pretty wrong. If youre thinking about what he said before his last fight with Sora he says that Sora only looks half the hero compared to the other keyblade masters (he witnessed them when he was an apprentice at ansem the wise).

HE was talking about roxas, not some unknown him. and sora is half of somone else, hes half of roxas, jsut as roxas if half of sora. The jorunal may not be talking about roxas, but its saying roxas is half or sora. Everything else weve already stated so thank you for reiterating.

In the first game, Sora is turned into a heartless near the end. He goes through the rest of the game and all of CoM without Roxas being part of him. So, if Roxas really was Sora’s other half, wouldn’t he have dropped dead, lost the ability to fight or something, the moment they were separated? Just something I thought I’d point out.

Well, i disagree, mickey does the flips, but hes got nothing special going for him like sora does with attacks like ars arcanum and stuff like that
I just think mickeys tight becuase he weilds a monstorously big sword, thats like twice his size, plus hes a mouse which makes it even better. I just love it when mickey starts jumping around and attacking things. But he does have the healing powers oflight, and he can use that pearl magic, two things sora cant do, plus im sure hes mastered all the magic spells that sora can do, we jsut havent seen him do it. He is the king after all.
the kings overated, if he could pull of some huge destructive magic using that pearl stuff, then i would be impressed, right now im just amused, haha

It would be awesome if the king became one of our party members. With Mickey at his side, those two would be unstoppable.

Yeah, he hides things too much, hes better as a leader of one, than as a follower together with others.
My favorite cutscene. well i have two, there both in the WTNW, brace yourself because they both involve Saix. i know big surprise.
The first is when Namine and Kairi are running down the stairs and saix appears, and he says: “Namine there you are. And kairi, im afraid leaving is not an option, ill take you to see sora” then she pulls away, and he says”you dont want that?”
Kairi says “i do, more than anytihng, but not with you around!” then saix says “If i had a heart this is where i would die of laughter”
the second is when he either just beat Xigbar or is about to fight him, and he starts talking about kingdom hearts, and he asks sora, Can you hear their Euphoria, now all they need is one more helping from they keyblade Bearer, and then he snaps his fingers, its just a kick a$$ part.
I really liked the ones where 1.Axel helps Sora and dies in Betwixt & Between. 2.Sora finds out it’s Riku and he does the funny face. 3. Where Kairi gets a keyblade and starts killin heartless.
I like your first scene with Saix, Luna, it’s one of my faves. I also like the Axel cutscene, plus the one at the end of KH2, and the short scene at the end of CoM. But I gotta say, my favorite is when you beat Ansem/Riku for the first time, and Sora turns into a heartless. The ongoing scene where Sora chases Riku all over the Land of Dragons is fun too…

Mine has to be the citscene where either its the sora roxas fight or the sora and riku fighting xehanort, both amazing battles. And im refereing to the scene with xhanort when sora uses rikus keyblade, utterly amazing
My favorite scene was when Radiant Garden was being attacked by heartless and nobodies. I also liked the part when you have to destroy the hyenas. The music for that was just perfect!

well, that might be nice, but unfortunatly, it cannot and will not happen, Final mix plus was stated to be nomuras last PS2 game, so nothign further for that system involving kingdom hearts, sorry.

well, you wont have to worry about getting the ps3 for at least 3 years, i SERIOUSLY doubt that the next platform game will be out before 2010.

The Fourteenth member cannot possibly be Aqua. The skin is to dark and Aqua’s is to light. She is probably just an old lover of Xemnas or a family member, seeing as how their skin color is the same. Other than that, when will the game come out? Seeing as how I am getting a red and black DS light for christmas and giving the Brain Age 2 game to my mom.

Xehanort is terra, watch the hidden video from kh2 final mix. he has the same hair, eyes, and facial structure to xehanort as ansems apprentice. xehanort is also seen talking to aqua’s armor calling her his friend. He probebly lost his memory fighting master xehanort and when ansem found him, terra could only recall that name.
