Kingdom Hearts translations of CLOUD: Vol. 1
In December last year, Square and Dengeki worked in conjunction to release CLOUD: Vol. 1, a magazine/book collected various pieces of information regarding all of Square’s works, primarily Final Fantasy.
Also included in this though was a nine-page section on Kingdom Hearts. Obviously, the article is rather old in terms of video gaming news, but the translations were only just done recently thanks to a joint-venture between KH Insider and KH-Vids.
As usual guys, sorry for the long wait between articles, but Square’s really keeping tight-lipped about everything at the moment… we’ll update you as soon as anything new pops up. Until then, feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I’ll see if I can find the time to answer them!

Well I got a bit curious about the scan with Master Xehanort. Maybe it actually is that he became bad even if he was trying to do a good thing. The scand with Ven also seems curious.
Basically stuff we already know. Wow, it is going to be a loooong wait.
Actually, couple things about the scans…
The coded scans poped up something itneresting to the story. The message that was found, we must return to release them from their torment…To me that means the chasers, but i know i didnt hear that message before
Still leaves only room for speculation, no concrete evidence. Could mean Sora and co. returning or the chasers. Not much to chew on while waiting for the main dish.

i dont know…i know that its a mysterious note, but im sure if jiminy doesnt remember it even getting in there, i doubt that it was put in by sora…i think this is the perfect note that is needed to make the jump to the next part of the story

sorry for seconds,but couldnt the waste land were the chasers were could b Destiny island,bcause of the fight,and didnt the legend said that the keyblade would bring chaos too on the different places,and thats why they say keyblades war and the 2 different legends. that just a mayb,not shure.
Yes there were two legenda about the keyblade. One that it brought chaos and one that it brought peace. Also since there were more than one keyblade wielder I think it reffers to different wielders. But I gotta agree with Reza about the sentence. Maybe if it was something he forgot to do at the worlds he visited. Well I have no idea
since there are different keublades with different types of power so different types of storys
The story is based on the wielder, not the weapon. But we have already drwn th elines between the different types of keyblades.
Sora’s from the realm of light, Mickey’s from the realm of Darkness, and Riku’s which was made from the Princess’s pure hearts.
What I do wonder is if the keyblade Riku uses is the same one that Sora used on himself to free Kairi’s heart and Riku is just using a different keychain or its a whole different weapon altogether.
No you got it a bit wrong. The keyblade made by the princesses heart isnt the one Riku uses. Also it was destroyed when Sora released his heart to save Kairi and by doing that he released the princesses hearts. Rikus keyblade was from the beginning called soul eater but it transformed later to Way to dawn. Its probably represent twillight if we do a group of that

You are right Dive with Sora’s blade being from light, and Mickey from dark, and eagle is right in saying that the soul eater transformed into the way to dawn keyblade. But…It does not also represent twilight, it represents however dusk. Riku’s keyblade/power, comes from the dusk/dawn portion of the worlds. Twilight is another power and another realm, which some say Kairi used, but not confirmed

Oh okay Reza. And Ansem just walked in the realm of nothingness and tried to take revenge on Xehanorts heartless and nobody. And the chasers mission is to find Master Xehanort and his apprentice. And there seems to be severeal keyblade master. Well atleast two.

Okay I searched for it and hope you can apologize me for what Im going to say but what the hell did you thought when you saw that. We already known that its confirmed 10 years before Kh1. Then it only had pics from the first secret ending from KH2, the KH1 secret ending with Roxas fighting and a bit cutscenes from KH1 and 2. Also subtitles from the game didnt really had anything to to do with the trailer. If you have played FFX you maybe would recgonized the music. And most of all Organization XXIX? And he said that it was a fan made too. Dude Im really sorry for how Im telling you this but you must have not thinking when you thought this was a real trailer. Good job eagl, not on dowing him, but giving the cold hard facts the only wat to let a person know they are wrong. And he is also right in saying there is no confirmed date for either game. In fact, technically, only a confirmed release for both games are for japan, but there is no reason at all that they wont be brought to the us as well. But supposedly 358/2 days is to be released at the end of this year, and bbs maybe mid to late 09
Well, the newbies here will have beards by the time any one of them come out. I suggest enjoying Crisis Core while waiting for the next three.

358/2 Days comes out middle/Q3 of this year.
What we actually have neglected to talk about is KH III, the actual third game, Man, is Sora gonna be like 17 there? Crazy stuff, probably about dealing with Maleficent and Pete and the rest of the Disney Rogues. Them or whatever lasting issues Master Xehanort left around. But by then the plot will be really dark. Hardly a child’s game by then.

I wish they could do a whole series of kingdom hearts games like FF. Like they could do spioffs and side stories like if there were other keyblade masters, they could focus on their story that could tie in with Sora’s.

Every game that Final fantasy come out with is in each sense of the word different and story seperated. With of course the exception of a few of the better storylines for the game. Kingdom Hearts is a very unique story that i dont think you can create huge seperate stories.
you know….i think they killed it with final fantasy with so MANY games. i mean if you have too much of a great thing it starts to get boring, or spoiled, right?
Well the beauty of Final Fantasy is that when they go from game to game, it has no story line connection to its predecessors, meaning they can create an entire new story with each game, new characters, without hurting its story. The only connections they have with other games are the spells, the magic/summons, and the seemingly simalar named character of cid who always has something to do with airships.
i wish that there would b a battle were Sora comes out with damage and someone gives him new clothes.

There is the line between reality and video games! In the real world, our parents make us changes cloths, but when you in a game, you could care less, so sora’s cloths kinda stay the same, exept in KH2 ;] lol

since were not really talking about anytihng i wanted to ask a coupple of totally unrelated questions to anyone who wants to answer (mostly to you reza)
i was never into the FF games, i was jw what the heck is up with cloud and sephiroths rivalry, what sparked it, why do they fight, how does it end etc.
and second, about the new FF, crisis core. the game looks intriguing and i want to get it, but never really liked the FF gameplay. is the comand menu thats involved anything like kingdom hearts’ comand menu? same concept or anytihng?

Well, VII probably has the most intriuging storyline that all the games has ever had, as well as the most complex. The reason why they fight is that they were both technically “born from the same mother”. One chose the path of evil and the other chose the path of good and sorts. Crisis Core is suppose to reveal more about the fighting as well as the story.
And from what i heard the game is like a button masher like kingdom hearts, and im pretty sure the command menu is about the same from what i hear. I would like to get the game as well mainly for the story, but i dont have a psp, which is kinda annoying

and as long as its a button masher im going to get it. i played one of the origonal final fantasys where you had to plan out what moves you did then they were commenced and i wasnt to happy with it. didnt enjoy that type of gameplay. but if its a button masher similar to that of kingdom hearts im going to get it.

When i first bought the game i was a little disturbed because i thought that riku, kairi, and sora were related.
Well since we dont know how old the princesses are they could be 20-25 in BBS and 30-35 in KH. Also Nomura already said that the grandma story was pretty much a fairytale. A bit of it was true but most of it wasnt.

This goes back to the sephoroth/one winged angel thing. I am farly sure that seporoth is Latin, or Hebrew for One Winged Angel.
And has any one heard what that song (One Winged Angel) is saying in English, it’s rather detached. I’m starting to think that Sephoroth is some kind of devil/demon like being. It does sorta’ explean why he has so much fire power.

No one even knows if there will be a kingdom Hearts 3. And sence no one knows if there will be one or not, there is not going to be a release date for anywhere, or any one.
what moogle is sayng is that the date is still not confirm but if it its to come weve been told that it would b release on 2010 or 2011.what we now for a while is that there are three new games birth by sleep for psp,its said to come on late 2009,the others are coded and 358/2 days,coded its going to b only for japan,the other one is supposed that it would b released on this year not shure bcause nothing else has been informed to us.i believe that would answer your question uhh Matt.
Well Nomura said he wanted to rest Sora for a bit whne he told us about the new game. But it hasnt been any confirmation even if we already knwo tehre will be a third one. But we havent got any release sates. But we believe it will (Well I do) be around 2010-2011

The smart thing to do (if you can manage it) is to just wait intill the PS3 is cheep. That’s what I plan on doing, just as long as my PS2 still works. But I guess that’s not for evreyone.

Yeah, with the Cinderella thing, I’m not sure yet. Either she’s in her 30s in the original games and is therefore in her 20s in this game, or else all the worlds in the KH universe have time pass at different rates or something complicated that like…
Expect some new news relatively soon regarding 358 guys, a lot of big DS news is coming out of Japan at the moment, so 358 will be probably get some coverage soon. The World Ends With You will probably get a sequel, Square’s showing off this new DS adventure game called Sigma Harmonics, and Capcom has revealed Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor, so hang in there! :D
For the next few days I’ll be working on my solo blog site, The Fourth Avenue Cafe. It’s a J-Rock/J-Pop/J-Orchestral review site, which I think is something that hasn’t been done well before. I have a MASSIVE passion with J-Music as an artform, and so expect the site to get pretty expansive.

Finally some news. Also is there a 80 gb ps3? Here we only got a 60 gb at maximum wich is great but its getting replaced by a 40gb and we also have 20 gb. But I agree 80 gb sounds a bit to much. And whats J-music?
Over here in the U.S. we have 80GB ps3, but I have read that they aren’t very good. As in they freeze, or something like that.
First of all, I don’t want a PS3, in fact unless it was like 50 or 40 bucks, I really just don’t want it.
Secondly, I need 600 dollars so I can get – and I know I’m being picky – an Xbox 360 Elite console = 450$, a second Xbox 360 black controller = 40$, Hal o 3 Legendary Edition = 70$, the new Legendary Map Pack for Hal o 3 = 10$, plus with tax should come around 590, so I just want 600.
Thirdly, The main reason I don’t want a PS3 is because the games for it aren’t that interesting, and if BBS is for PS3, it would be the only game I would want for it, so really, who cares. Also, I’m not paying that much for a better version of what I already have.
And finally, I thought the PS3 was only 500 or 400? So, yeah. :D

Me and Ash set up the Halo block back in the day for memory… when the site first began we had this kid make constant spam that talked about the game and how the green suit guy was a god compared to KH characters, etc.

Secondly, I drew a picture of Master Chief because he’s so awesome! Don’t disrespect da Chief! I can understand why you did that but you could have told me!
Thirdly, In comparison, no disrespect to KH, but Master Chief is a bit cooler than KH. He’s a cyborg demon thing that was constricted into the military at the age of 6! He stopped the destruction of everything three times! He’s done the impossible, and he fears nothing! So basically, MASTER CHIEF RULES!!!!!

It all depends. Sims 1, or Sims 2. And did you know there working on the sims3? But any way, because this is a site for kingdom Hearts (which I have said many times befor) let’s out of respect for the game, and the people who made this page, not say that hal o is better.

I was talking about Sims 2 for PS2, and I just wanted to get all that out of my system, I can’t help that I like Hal o more than KH. Also, I did know they’re working on Sims 3. In fact, I’ve been playing Sims 2 for PS2 lately. I want the PC versions because they have more stuff, but I love the one I have. I also have Sims 2 Pets.
The PC version is amazing, I have all 7 expanton packs, not only do they have more things you get to do a lot more then you can on the PS2 version.
But KH is just as great if not better.
currently ive been really into final fantasy, crisis core, and VII. i was never big on the games, but i really enjoy the cutscense and play of crisis core. im lost alot on the story, but still, its fun.
Is FF VII the one were you play as Vincent Valentine and it has like Azul and Omega and stuff, because if it is, that was the only FF game I’ve ever played, I also beat it. It was pretty hard sometimes, it took me a while to figure out that you had to melee Azul in his beast form on that elevator thing, I just shot at him for a while.
Also, I think Hal o is better. Not by much, but better. Everyone has their rite to like and dislike something, I think Hal o is better, and you think KH is better, there’s nothing wrong with that. But when you try to convince your point of view by arguing about it, now that’s wrong. And plus, just because I’m a bigger Hal o fan than a KH fan doesn’t make me any less of a KH fan than when I first started coming here, or ever before. I’m saying this in the most politest way possible.

As for how many sites I work on, its currently 2 full-time – this and FFI. The Fourth Avenue Cafe’s my solo work which I’m doing just for fun at the moment, and it hasn’t properly launched yet.
However, if we’re talking about what I USED to work on, then we get confusing – I’ve written on at least two other sites before this, but I think it’s three and I’m forgetting one… anyway one was a Dirge of Cerberus site (which we sold), and I was a guest writer at The Hylia (probably THE biggest Zelda site) for a while.
So it’s quite a long, but boring history! :D

Dont worry golden, the sims isnt all that fun so your not missing out on much. Way, the original final fantasy vii was with cloud as the main character. The game you are refering to is the shooter spin-off known as dirge of cerberus. Not a bad attempt at a shooter by square, but i certainly think they couldve done better if it was tied down with the whole Final fantasy name
That game frustrated me so much! You couldn’t even perform any of the cool moves he did during the cutscenes for crying out loud!
well kinda all the games you cant do what they do on the videos. i played dirge of cerberus and i liked to play it,i like the games that are challenging but that FF dirge.. i found it a little bit short.
Mabey in KH3 you will be able to do things that you see in the videos.

Well I actually thought KH2 was a bit easy with all its reactions so a bit more difficult reactions would be good.

you go through all of these missions, meet the girl of your dreams, have an awesome best friend, and begin to realize your dream, then just all of a sudden, everything falls appart. Aerith has no idea where you are but is still madly in love with you, clouds vegetized, and the army youve served for what like 6 years is now after your a$$? i mean seriously, how dumb is that. then, thats not even the best part, but your running around midgar, kicking everyones but even though you were vegied for 4 years, and you get shot. you put up this huge valliant fight, and you get blown away… by an armys guns. thats it. the end. he leaves behind so many people because he got shot by the army he searved for years. it just…it was very upsetting.
still, great game. loved it…till the end.

no. i bet KH3 is the last one. i mean think about it, they are tying everying together into kh3. why would you do all that, and then have another game after that. KH3 will be the big bang of the series.
but its not impossible for sora to die. they just need to set it up with a son, or with sora being a mentor. look at crisis core. Zack goes through all of that, then dies, passing it on to cloud, and FF7 was one of the greatest games ever. but i highly doubt they will do the same thing for more than one game. kh will more than likely not follow FF in that regard.
and i think riku will die. thats my prediction. his life is so rocky as it is, first he was corrupted with evil, then he was running around in the dark, then he jumps in front of xemnas to save sora. i think a similar thing will happen, and that riku will die for someone like kairi or possibly of future love interest of rikus.

Now, as far as dying goes…im not sure if they will “die”. I got a feeling hat in the kh world, you dont just die, something happens to your spirit/soul. Their body may be destroyed, but their spirit may live on, perhaps in the keyblades. In theory to me, riku seems liek the character that would easily destroy himself to save his friends, so no doubt in my mind hes going buh bye. Sora…hell do anything to protect kairi.
Kairi would most likely try to help sora, but sora would have the normal thought process of the usual stupid thoeries…To save them, he has to hurt her, maybe not kill, but perhaps incapacitate.

Well I agree if someone of those three will die Riku seems most likely. But I actually think it will end in KH4. This is just what I have in my imnagination but I think Sora fights something or is trying to uncover a secret in KH3 and he founds out in the end of the game what he must do, what he was meant to do. And what that is will be in KH4.

yes,i got a 99% of jiminys journal,but still can get 2 defeat the tournament since i dont got all the time 2 do that.
it doesnt actually take that long. you can blaze through the first 30 in about 20-35 minutes. its really 41-49 that you need to worry about. (unless its a 100 round tournament. cant remember regardless its the last 10 you need to worry about.)
no i think all it is is 50 rounds, cause im prety sure #50 is the battle with cloud leon yuffie and…wait, i know there was someone else

yeah. ok so you can blaze through the first 30 rounds in about a half hour. but once you get to 45 it gets harder. every one and a while i die fighting tifa yuffie cloud and leon.

The only reason why it gets harder cause its like actual battles, no little bonus thing, nothing like, your fighting alone but you can use drive forms. Thats the real test of it all. And the hades cup in the first game was easier in my mind, all it was was time consuming. But i was able to get the save the queen and the save the king by completing it alone and under the time limit
yeah. agree, in KH2 it actually gave me some trouble. in KH1 like you said it just took a little time.

What do I think will happen? Well…um…stuff. But really, I have no clue. The game at this point could go anywhere. So I don’t know, yet. Maybe after we all get some more info we will be able to formulate some theories.

I think it will explain the Keyblade war and why it happened. And the evil guy most want the keyblades for evil things? just a few thoughts and im with you on we need more info to decide anything for sure.
