New Kingdom Hearts trailers!
As you all probably know by now, new trailers for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts titles have been released online thanks to the new Square-Enix DVD, re:riplai.
The DVD’s main feature was that it brought together many of the currently unreleased trailers that Square had shown over the past year. Most of these were Final Fantasy related (which is what we’ve been so busy reporting on), but several Kingdom Hearts trailers made their way onto the DVD.

Nicely done guys. Now a good question is what is Xion’s connection to Kairi cause Riku flat out addmitted they were connected. Whatever it was, I believe she too shared some of Sora’s latent memories like Roxas and by getting them back Xion was “erased”, dissapeared, whatever you call it. Perhaps the process of surrendering his memories is what erased her, I think thats a better way of wording it.
Oh yeah, and Terra still fights like a vicious effin’ savage.

yea im waiting on BBS its just so amazing the can fit such good graphic’s a growth system great collision and lighting in a psp. also i was watching the BBS trailer an noticed that when the video is 50-53 seconds into the trailer, Terra walks toward’s the keyblade’s the is a big silver thing in the backround like a ship then it turn’s into dust…this is on the secret trailer in kh2 not final mix+.
Hey guys!, I just beat Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories as Sora this past saturday and I just beat Reverse/Rebirth as Riku this past Wednesday!
well let me tell you coded trailer got me a bit confuse like who the f%^&k is the enemy and what is kairi doing in the story why would that b iknow mickey went back in time with data sora but that doesnt fit a bit i think somethings change while you play it.
and bbs looked good as always and 358 the same
but i think trhat xion is gonna get almost killed before getting 2 know who she is.
not killed but almost killed something like she in big trouble and zaix looks like the planner in it.

I think the ds is the Xehanort we know about. Why? Because MX states, “Correct MY mistake!” Xehanort must have had a darker past; otherwise he would not have dared to study the heart.
Yeah, The whole master Xehanort character is starting to take a different path then we saw him in the original trailer. Its starting to seem more like, he wanted to do good, but something went wrong
My comment is about the last video shown. What’s amazing is that there is a XIII member of the orginization! And I can’t wait until kh 358/2 days comes out on February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hope we get to see some more aqua gameplay and some more of terra and ven i hope we get an estimate of BBS release date…looking forward to the demo’s tomorrow. =P

hey everyone. havent been around lately, playing re:com. finally.
anyway, new trailer, something i noticed. or some things.
anyway, the DS is definatly human, not some kind of dark entity, when hes beating up ven, you can see part of his armor is gone and fleshly looking skin is shown.
Ven, weilds his keyblade juyo style, which i personally think is freaking awesome.
about MX, i think what he origonally inteded to do was make something to train ven and terra and aqua with, like battle practice, but something went wrong during an expiriment, and he needs terra to correct his mistake.
as for whoever asked about the white thing in the background of the origonal trailer, its the Dragon Xemnas rides on in the end of KH2, why its there, im not sure.
lastly, im still confident that the BBS trailer we saw with FM+ was the very ending of the game. like the cutscene before the final fight. going off this theory, MX could have started off good, and ended evil, which is why he seems differant than we origonally predicted.
maybe the FM+ is the begining trailer but i doubt that because i’ve played game’s were they show a portion of the ending when you first start out.

Anyways, any new theories with Xion yet? I know we all have the same basic theory of she belongs to kairi, or the off chance she is somehow the nobody of when kairis heart was with sora, anything else?
if your asking me directly then not really. i dont think she was actually the nobody of kairi, but rather something differant, or if she is in fact a nobody, than a differant kind, perhaps one that has feelings, or remembers more of their past, or really anything that seperates them from the rest of the nobodies.
Maybe Xion is a copy like Riku in re:com…perhap’s Namine made her and took a little bit of sora to do so or some of her self,she does resemble Namine so maybe Namine made her for protection because they were at the Twilight Town Mansion or maybe Ansem made Namine make Xion and sent her to the org. to gather info on them and when her memory fill’s up he would collect the data for somthing,but what is interesting she hold’s the Keyblade with her left hand. This might have somthing to do with the story.

Ricky might be on to something with the Xion concept, but I don’t trust Xehanort at all though, I think he was crooked from the begining. At least in the sense that he is a slave to the dark realm and is upsetting the balance of the realm of light.
namine being created not like normal nobodies was because of the way kairi lost her heart, within sora. it really didnt have anything to do with namine, more with kairi, but i like the clone idea too. Riku was made to belive that he was to protect namine, so Xion could be made to believe she is an org member. its possible.
as for MX, im not sure if he was allways crooked, i think he started with good intentions, but something around 1/3 through the story went wrong, and well you know the rest.

Now we are getting into serious hypothetics, While MX talks a good game and his facial expressions really sell the story I think he just has has a good poker face, you see him trying to buy Ven in with powers of darkness at Olympus Colluseum, and I don’t care who you are when you are playing that card you are looking at serious compromise of character.
When Riku used those abilities he was consumed by the dark so much so that his physical form was lost until Ansem’s miracle(accident) with his heart encoder. It’s a serious decision no matter how you look at it and is a major sacrifice for dwellers in the real of light. It’s like going to the Dark Side of the Force, only as a neccesary “evil”.
well i dont know but what memories could have ven have lost that MX said 2 him at olimpus.
and what happen 2 ven when terra went 2 MX saying “i have a friend what have you done 2 his heart what could have happen there.
Strangely, when I saw the DS approaching Ven I got a feeling it was Terra. But Master Xehnaort and his apprentice is a tricky one. Terra somwhow allied or ooperates with Master Xehanort, we know that. But MX somehow seems dark in his ways and actions, but still he wants to do good. It seems like he still wants terra to walk his dark way but to avoid some things MX did wrong. Wow this is complicated.
The DS, hes a mystery. So far Ive supported the theory that he is the Xehanort we know. But its kind of hard to say anything without any bigger info.

I suspect that the soldier Sora fought in FM was just an “echo” or “memory” of Terra, were he still alive or in that persona I think that Terra would be out and about causin’ a ruckus instead of sittin round at Sunset Horizons. At least if I could hit folks that hard with a keyblade that’s what I’d be doing, seems too important not to be havin a effect on the KH universe. I think he’s like the optional Re-XIII boss fights, they’re already gone but you get another shot for kicks.
yea, that’s a good idea…maybe the portal lead to the past like Timeless River. but most likley not because he thought sora was ven and called him ven and said “we have met before i can fell it”…well cant truly understand untill we get the game…i wonder how there armor work’s because the have like a piece on there arm. imagine if BBS had a secret kh3 ending that be sweet.

Talking to the keyblade? Doesn’t sound much crazier than anything else we’ve come up with. I wonder if Terra was expecting it to talk back however. Haven’t seen that happen any unless you count that wierd moment when Sora first got his weapon.

Talking to the blades isnt far out of the realm, nor is it a new idea. Luna and I’s top show bleach has that premise. Frankly if the keyblade has a soul that you can talk to, if you can learn to understand it, you will access power beyond imagine.
Thats what the masters might happen to them. In exchange for becoming masters, complete understanding of its techniques and skills, you must give up your soul. However, i stress with all these things, it is all jsut theory. However, some ideas that we are coming up with are pretty stable enough to use in actual game.

terra could still be xehanort. he wouldnt know what he turned in to because he was said to be time travelling. so terra is still terra without ever have becoming xehanort. besides, i think when he sais that he is reffering to MX, hes just leaving out the master because sora wouldnt know about that anyway.
if ven was getting in the way of sora existing, he wouldnt have been on the islands with riku while they were watching. he wouldnt have been there yet, hence not existing.
I just watched this trailer and at the end they were saying how they were working on it for psp ….. Well I was at gamestop today and they said that they were gona stop makeing game for psp after march of 09 …. At least that’s what the gamestop guy told me …

if anyone had read my thing about namine on the other post, i have something else i noticed.
so far weve seen two types of nobodies, lesser nobodies, that do not take on human shapes. and the higher nobodies, or ORG. 13/14.
the thing i noticed, is namine would technically be considered a higher nobody, because she takes on the form of a human. yet all the human like nobodies weve seen thus far, have displayed some form of power/strengh, the ability to use a weapon, and an elemental affinity. namine can do none of those things, she has no weapon, no physical strength, no elemental affinity, the only thing she has is the ablility to tamper with memories, which no other nobody has displayed.
and i was thinking about if their human forms had something to do with it, becuase of sora and roxas, but if you think about xehanort (not considering the terra theory) he had no ability or resemblance to anything with blades coming out of his arms, or the ability to create thorns of darkness and clones. so their human forms with the acception of sora becuase hes the chosen one, has nothing to do with it.
so if namine is one of a kind, perhaps shes not a nobody at all. now this is where my theory begins to go off the tracks, and this is more wild speculation than anything.
perhaps, because of the way kairi lost her heart, something, more, was made, something that was never supposed to exist. something that was not supposed to (un) be born (birth). and that fact making Xion the true nobody of kairi, weilding a keyblade because of the time kairis heart spent inside sora.
so if perhaps namine is an unbirth, simply meaning she was never supposed to exist, but something went terribly wrong, this could give us some insight into BBS.
Perhaps, MX did something…not so savory, to someone, it could be anyone, perhaps even sora or a relative of. and thus Ventus was created. He says erase me, becuase he was never supposed to exist, and thats got him down in the dumps.
anyway, so far thats all i have for BBS.
Back to namine, i listed in the other thread that namine was displaying feelings, which would be a large red flag against the whole nobody thing, but we dont know anything about an unbirth, so it is possible that an unbirth could have a heart. throughout KH Re:Com namnie says she is the Shadow of kairi. this made me think, if you were a nobody, you wouldnt really be the shadow of anyone, you would be what was left after their heart was taken/removed, whatever you want to call it.
anyway, kudos to anyone who read this long post, its just some random thoughts i had while playing through re:Com.
Kudos for the food for thought Luna, that was substantial. I just want to address the concept that goes most commonly with the term “Shadow” in relation to people. They are often connected to the “shadow” heartless.
That’s quite something Luna. You might be onto something. I was kind of confused when Namine showed her feelings towards Sora in Re:Com. When I think about what you said about the org and the weapons the weapons they wield, it actually makes sense.

thats a nice point dive, shadow does make me think of heartless. however the emotions would still twart that theory.
i think the reason nomura would have used shadow (given my theory is at least partally true) would be so that there was no concrete evidence to say she was a nobody. it was sort of just thrown in there so that nothing was confirmed or denied.
Yeah, well I kinda thought to myself that Nam could have been a heartless born under unusually obscure circumstances being from a pure heart opposed to a …not-pure one.
But heartless are by definition born from the darkness of people’s heart.
Alright, lets try this again. Im gonna do a shortened version regardless.. So anyways, namine not being a nobody, the theory that she doesnt have an elemental affinty like the rest of the org… Well, neither does Saix technically. Thats if you only go with the 4 main elements, earth, wind, fire, and water. Now, in many games and books and such, there are sub elements. Such as soul, spirit, dream, metal, wood, ice, solar, moon, etc. It could go on forever. Now with the elemental affinity… Namine doesnt have one of the 4 main ones…but a subelement she does have, along with Saix.
Now, she does have power, jsut not very much physical strength, jsut the power to fix memories and such.
NOw, the term shadow, yes, it does get used for one of the types for heartless..but how bout it terms of humans.. What does a shadow do? It follows its “host” or main body, never breaks, never does something out of the ordinary. It directly copies the actual person. Now here is where it gets to speculation for me. If Namine is a shadow of Kairi..then she is copying her, meaning the powers she is using, is not jsut Namines powers, but Kairi’s as well.
There is no proof of this, but i think, that these powers that the nobodies are getting, are powers coming directly from the soul, the spirit of these people. These powers/abilities are locked deep inside. Its not that normal humans dont have that power, but they cant access it. When they become a nobody, they know how to draw out that skill and make it their own.

I find it amazing as to how little we know about Namine in general. I feel like there’s something about her that hasn’t been revealed yet.
yea, she just kinda pop’s now and then. but if she is not a nobody…then why did she combine in into kairi…there is a chance that the seven princess have a diffrent kind of nobody because they have no darkness in there heart’s.
thats true. however, she combined in the same way roxas did to sora, so either roxas is whatever namine is, that being non-nobody. or namine is in fact a nobody and this speculation is pointless.

about the elements, youre right, saix is without one. when i looked it up, it simply said his element was moon or luna, however that isnt really an element, however, he still have the berserker ability, that of which, namine has nothing close. as for an element for her, i cant think of anything that actually would classify as element, (mind, and memory arent elements).
I guess saying that mind and memory isnt an element was a bit of an overstatement, i withdraw that.. Its more of an alignment, almost the same, but not quite. Its quite interesting what can be thought of when it comes to this sorta thing. In terms of elements, shes no where close, but as far as alignments goes, she does have a chance.
mind and memory may be an alignment, however, that doesnt really change the fact that her alignment/element is entierly differant from every other org member in terms of qualifications (save fo siax who just kicks everyones butt without one). that still just strikes me as odd that shes…well an odd nobody, one whos differant than the rest if she is a nobody at all.
besides, namine was created in a special way because of kairis heart being within sora, so its very possible that something happened where whatever namine is was made, and that kairis nobody (possibly xion, possibly not) is still out there.

What the heck, marloosha (speaking on pronunciation here) even tho its spelled marluxia. when i heard that i like fell over laughing. it just doesnt sound that tough, not something i would expect from the lord of castle oblivion. for the longest time i thought it was mar-loox-ea (pronunciation) never would i have know it was marloosha.
I agree with you on that one Luna. I never understood the reason as to why the people who make up the names make them harder to say than what they actually sound like.
yeah, certain ones are ok. for example a character in bleach is named Kisuke, but the pronunciation just leaves out the u, and its simply pronounced Kiske. that to me is tollerable, but marloosha. its annoying.
On a different note, I’m working a difficult transcendentalism project. I hate doing work for english that is very abstract for the mind. If you’ve ever heard of Emerson or Henry David Thoreau, then you know what I’m talking about. If not, then I can explain it to you if you want me to.

Marluxia is not hard in Re:CoM. Quite simple, just dont let him get a hold of you. And Larxene was not so hard. None of the members really gave a challenge….well….maybe Xaldin was. he was not so easy…-.- the main thing is they all have something to make you angry or panic and then you dont think of what you do or if you dodge. You have to find out how to get to them and get a soild hit and how to dodge them and its all good. just keep a simple mind. :D
the only person in Re;com who really gave me any challange was Dark Riku 4. during soras story after the islands, took me around 4 tries, other than him, no one really gave me a challange, there was a coupple tough spots, but nothing i died over.

Riku’s story was easy and hard at the same time. Easy because you didn’t have to worry about adding new cards to your deck, combos kicked ass, and you didn’t have to worry about moogle points either! It was hard because you couldn’t remove the crappy cards whenever you wanted to. I admit that, without his dark mode the game would have MUCH HARDER.
yea dark riku i had to level up the only org member that killed me was larxenne and also yea marluxia was easy i was like litteraly when i killed marluxia i said are friggin serious and ansem was easy on riku’s side…zexion i killed in like five minutes but he had the coolest death scene.
I was surprised as to how much more evil the org members were at Castle Oblivion than TWTNW. Lexaeus and Zexion were probably the most bizzarre members in my opinion.
lexeaus had cool attacks he had the same rock smash attack as Terra.
yeah. Marluxia was maybe the hardest. Or Axel before Marluxia? He was tricky. I was pissed by how much I died! XD
Marluxia wasnt hard at all, he never even landed a hit on me.
axel was actually pretty easy too, i just loaded my deck with blizzard cards and stop, and just wailed on him with freeze and blizzaga.
larxene, i just owned, there really wasnt anything to it, i used my Os on her high cards, and just attacked wtihout remorse.
as for riku, i had trouble with Zexion believe it or not. im not sure what happened, but before i knew it, i was getting wailed on by a zexion equiped with soul eater. i think i wasnt paying attention thinking it was going to be an easy fight, and just kinda ran around for a while. still, in rikus story, the only time i died was against dark riku two in twilight town, in which i died once.

well im taking the game slow so i havent even fought marluxia or marloosha thats how they say it
well its that i dont want 2 end it fast but i have gotten beat a few times but the worst has been larxene not even in gba she was so hard but im on the last floor now just need 2 beat larxene and off 2 look for marluxia.

Axels between larxene and marluxia just so you know. but i definatly think hes easier than larxene. just make sure you save zeros to break his firetooth sleight.

And when there is a card at the bottom, showing he is about to attack, And he is running after you, run and roll, and it he hits you, its a chain, and there is only one other spot to get out of it. XD So if you gett in it, Keep pressing SQUARE To roll
yeah, happened to me quite often, the best bet is to use a zero on any card higher than a 7, even if it might be considered a waste, and just reload often.
a good tip: create some distance between you and axel, and charge up your reload card. charge it until its just about ready to reload your deck but then dont use it. that way, if you get in a pinch and need your zeros and heal cards, you dont have to try and reload it while being wailed on or with little health, you can just press x and it will reload.
yeah thanks for the advised but i won the games 2 days back now im with riku but im not playing a lot but when i play it feels easy

but still their places that will b hard and specially when 1 chosses the same card the enemy did sistem that if you use the same isntead of breaking cards it makes a breeak card and then you make a cool and nice trick

Dueling. its handy, but i thought it made the battles go by too fast, and it made them to easy.
well i find dueling kinda hard so i try evading it but when i make them yes the fight ends easy
i did it like 5 times 2 the first time against vexen and with it i ended the fight
but still its good.
when you dual, dont try and match cards. it works so much better to just press x and blast through every card, then trying to syphon through for hte right one. the minute the dual starts, just press X as fast as you can until you win or its over.

i got the game for christmas XD and played it once so far… im hooked on my xbox 360 XP but im so fooking confused… i read some of the other comments and who the hecck is Xion? and why isnt namine a nobody? and i cant look at the videos or any media they put up T.T

i origonally brought up the debate of namine not being a nobody becuase she doesnt display common nobody traits. As i played through re:com, i noticed that she had no elemental affiliation like most of the other nobodies weve seen do, she has no physical properties be it strenght speed or stamina, and she has at times been able to ‘feel’. she gets angry, sorry, hopefull, feels remorse, regret, hatred, love, all things a nobody should not be able to feel. Thus brining us to Xion (prounced Shee-on) who bears a striking resemblance to kairi, and we were tihnking that perhaps Xion is the true nobody of kairi, and namine is something else entierly, something weve never come across before.
ok… 2 things: 1, good theory, but i thought namine and kairi “joined” at the end of kh2? and 2, namine has the whole “memory” power thing and i think that counts as a “power”, plus axel had emotions too. and i remember reading somewhere the 14th member’s name was “Heartless” but re-aranged the letters plus an “x”, there was an actual name but i cant remember XP

no, the 14th members name is Xion. not heartless with an X. it was just a rumor.
and i was talking powers more in strength and an elemental affinity. as for the joining, im not sure what the deal was with that, which is why its just a theory and nothing concrete.

and everyone here probably knows but i was looking at photobucket and i saw that xion’s hair is black and looks alot like namine and there was a picture of axel, roxas, and xion all sitting on the clocktower eating sea-salt icecream XP just go to photobucket and type in “Xion” :D
she looks like kairi, and bears a resemblance to namine becuase Namine was supposed to resemble kairi. She has the same haircut, eye color, etc. The scene with her roxas and axel was supposed to represent the same scene with Riku sora and kairi. giving you another insight on her connection to kairi.
