No new Kingdom Hearts info at E3
As many of you reading the comments section will have found out, at the recent E3 Media and Business Summit 2007, Square pulled a sudden move and showed very little in the way of games…
While the most notable absentee at the show was the upcoming Final Fantasy 13, fans from this site will be more affected by a severe lack of a Mr. Tetsuya Nomura, and the new tidbits of information he usually brings everywhere regarding a certain Kingdom Hearts series.
So in short; no Nomura, no new Kingdom Hearts, and nothing new on Final Mix+ coming to the west… losses all around for us then.
To remind all users though, don’t give up hope: TGS is in September, and this is where the big announcements will happen. The new portable spin-off will be announced here: name, trailer, gameplay, projected release and all. Knowing Nomura, he’ll probably show a teaser trailer for the new next-gen title, but the team’s biggest focus when it comes to next gen consoles right now is Final Fantasy Versus 13, so we’ll see a lot of that from Team KH as well.
So look foward to the Tokyo Game Show (held at the Makuhari Messe if memory serves me right) guys and gals, because that’s where we’ll see the new stuff. I expect we’ll probably launch Kingdom Hearts Globe in time for that as well – once I contact Rey we’ll get the applications up and running within the next few days!

Yeah, I agree, we are going to have to plat wait and see until September.

I doubt were gonna hear any news regarding kh or see a trailer at complete random for anything baout either

Well there has to be a KH3 reasons being is because the heartless and Maleficent and Pete are still out there.The kings note that Kiari is giving to Sora and Riku.And how about the left over nobody’s

Andrew, no one is doubting that there will be a game, all the signs point to it, even the secret ending, and all the stories that Nomura said he wants to tell.

The signs are there, we know. Its not really random, there was alot of things left open. And the game isnt gonna be out that early, not till at least 2009, the end of the year
agreed, and we dont know if its gonna for sure be ps3 there might be something better out by that time. So its not certain.
The game would actually be 2010 at the earliest, because we have to work in tandem here with FF Versus 13 – FF13 has been pushed into mid/late 2008, which means Square has to release Versus 13 early 2009 so they don’t directly compete with each other. That means proper work won’t begin on the title until 2009, and the game won’t take too long seeing as the engine is already there for them to adapt from.
So expect to see the newest major adventure in 2010. It isn’t called Kingdom Hearts III. PS3 will still be out then, but by this time we’ll definitely know if the console has turned out a failure, and if that’s the case it could be on either of the other two next gen consoles.
ok well then so explain why almost every website i go to for kh3 said that it was coming out 2008 or 2009 ign.com or gamepro ,dont lie even my bestfriends father is a sony developer and said that ya in the near 2 years that this game is going to come out lol come on kh3 has to be called kh3 what else would they call it. and ya explain lol

Alright, heres the scoop that gets told to everyone thinking they know more than we do, or claim to know someone in the business.
They havent started making the game yet, how the hell could it be out by 2009, maybe late, but not early.
Nomura even stated its NOT gonna be called KH3, is he gonna lie? And as far as gamepro and ign go, they also said that KH2 final mix was coming the states…yeah, there not lieing about that at all.
And perhaps they’ll cal it what every actual site didicated to KH is calling it, the Keyblade wars…hmm… theres a thought.
Anything else to argue about that we alreayd coveres and discussed till death? Perhaps what system? Maybe even why sora wotn be the main character. Please, or why dont you bring up the countless crap that he who should not be named borught up about the crap about it being stupid to wait that long or even put it on another system.
How old are you Andy? I’d estimate 11 or 12, and you’ll say 15 or 16 of course, we go through the motions, yada yada.

I’m back. It’s been a while since i’ve been on here. People that say stuff over and over again that is not true really pisses me off too. Like how poeple continue to say that the 3 characters in the secret on KH 2 FM+ are sora, riku, and kairi, or other characters that we have seen b4, but when Nomura flat out said that we’ve never even heard or seen about.
Anyways, I just heard about a new spin-off game for the PSP and it’s Roxas’s own game dedicated to him. Anybody ever hear of this? I got the info on gametrailers.com.

Apparently, SE was thinking of throwing in a game that tells us a little more about the history of some characters (basically a boring prequel), such as Roxas, Namine, and Axel. That’s about as good as I could get it. XD
There was an interview with nomura that said that is was a side game with a twist on gaming style(like the cards for com) that focused on all the things weve already talked about. Mainly, roxas, and his year of dissapearance, riku, mickey and his keyblade weiding, and namine. thats what i heard.
I hope the game play will not be as bad as the card system was.
Sometimes I wonder if prequels are even that helpful. It really didn’t matter much anyway because it wasn’t important. When I first played through KH2 I was expecting to learn at least some more information on the other half of the org.
Usuakky prequels gives you the side of the story no one could have seen coming, like your the character from the org or something. Prequesl are never meant to extremely helpful, just there to help you better understand the story if you want to
Haha, very funny. Huh, I guess you’re right. Sometimes it makes more sense if you play the prequel first like Ace Combat 5 and Zero.
I think a couple of prequels are needed. KH1 picks up right in the middle of he action. Plus there is a lot to go on too,
IDK bout it tho, it sounds like it could be helpful to better understand the story a little more like what Oblivion said. It may be helpful to play it because maybe, just maybe it could leak some new information on the *unofficial* KH3. Plus I think it would be interesting to see Roxas growing up and developing as Sora’s nobody and see what he experienced through all of it.

that made no sense to me hammers. when i was reading the posts one from oblivion made me think, what if they made 13 side games, each one of a differant org member and you bought whatever one you wanted to play, like a pokemon sort of thing. lol, i really hope they dont, but it jsut came to my mind. anyway, i think it should be sora on the kings quest, so that the next platform game (kh3) wont have to have sora in it.
That isnt a bad idea Luna when you think about, not the part of the 13 side games, but the fact of playing a different organization member. The only problem with that is, is that nomura and his producers have to come up with full side stories for each member.
If they were to do this, in my mind it make sense to make to side games, one for the original members, the other for the newcommers. Even if each part was like two hours or so of gameplay, it might not be that bad of an idea

ohhh, right, ok, well that would be strange, a sitcom based of a video game series, i think its unprecidented and although strange might make for a cool series, if your into the games. and that actually(the way you put it oblivion,) doesnt sound half bad. I mean two seperate games, one of org members 1-6, and one of org memebers 7-13, each with their own 2 hours or so of gameplay in the game. i thinki t would be cool. and id definetly but them. Make it so that once you beat one story line, say roxas which takes an hour of gameplay, you unlock larxenes, and then once you beat hers you get marluxia, so on up the list until you get to saix and that game is done, then same thing for the other one.
Nomura can be a bastard sometimes.. teasing us like that. Sht they better make a new project for kingdom hearts. If not. Then I will… cry. xD
